Title: ATi driver settings
Post by: suicidal_monkey on July 26, 2005, 11:01:10 AM
I am having trouble getting the ATi drivers to respond to my will...

The smartgart function keeps setting my AGP to "off" and subsequently turning off the related functionality. My motherboard can certainly support 8x AGP but as it's not exactly a well known board (nForce2 400 made by Sparkle though there's not much support for it anywhere) I believe the ATi drivers are freaking out, so to speak. Does anyone know if there's a way to stop the smartgart resetting my AGP 8x setting back to off (and why the graphics still works even though AGP is "off"  <_<  )

bump

anyone?
Is there a way anyone knows of to disable the "smart" gart or to let me override it with my own settings? I don't think it recognises my motherboard and is therefore turning the AGP bus "off" although that's contradictory as the graphics are clearly still operational!
