Just wondered how much interest there would be for some battlefields match play
ermm...
shouldn't there be an option to vote no?
not that I would, but in the interests of fairness n'all
Too early I'd say. I'd like to try some friendlies first to make sure that BF2 is the tactics-based strategy beast I hope it is and not just a vehicle for flag-capping speed demons and heli-cappers.

I'm with you guys on that one. Personally, I could do with a little more practise playing some other roles. Better take the step next time and do a little more medic and support :)

Yep, I'm with Old Bloke on this.
I am just getting over my 'fear' of heli-cappers (proud to say I have now brought several helicopters down) but I still need some friendlies to get my team-play tactics up to scratch.
[I am trying to organize/try out a special tank/heli killer team made up of three anti-tank guys working together in a mini-squad. This should discourage the hili-cappers and convoy-cappers.]
