AFAIK the last update on that BF2 editor was this (http://www.eagames.com/official/battlefield/battlefield2/us/editorial.jsp?src=communityupdate_062205) from the 22nd of june stating that the release date had been postponed. That was a month ago and my impression was that the editor was in a beta state, nearly ready for release on some beta terms *sigh*
