...and to be honest I am new to this stuff.. All I have ever played was this last hour doing 4 single player tours. When do you guys play? Or are you all over at the BF2 server? Some of you know me from BF2, looking forward to some nice games.

Hi guys. I checked out the servers but they were deserted. Tried to join BoD server for 20 mins but was full. Maybe some other time.
Typical I got online just as I wrote this :D
And know I got kicked. Dunno why. Perhaps Duvel has an idea?
I was the same...came in 10.30 after rushing like hell...then no-one :angry:
Well, we played and then the connection to the server got lost. I've waited 5 minutes untill it was up again but nothing on my screen so I went on BoD. Even met Delanvital up there. I hope you like the game fella. Sorry I had to leave all of a sudden.
For the rest, if you play on BoD, it's more everyone for himself. Better team up with someone and help out. Next time I'll give you some pointers. 8)

As told to me the first time I asked for hints or tips :P
Best advice I can give is try to play as much as you can, get used to all the maps, know where people like to hide.
If you die don't look at the scores, follow a good player around and see what they're doing.

I play alot of CZ and so do Doris and Hippy and a few others. They'll give pointers aswell (probably, otherwise they'l shoot you ;)). Otherwise get me on MSN or Xfire. Just a PM usually helps aswell.

Well BoD is not the one having probs our server has a little problem in being on the wrong spot in london at the wrong time ;)
This will be sorted soon as some peeps are getting back from there holidays.
BoD has a very busy server and it is hard to get on the server. And if a BoD member wants on then a non BoD member will be kicked. So that can be one of the reasons if you get kicked from BoD.
BoD is working on a 3 server but that will take some time.
I must say, that what I have tried on that BoD server last night was more of a frag-fest. A lot of chat at the same time, and all running around like wild trying to hunt down the other party. I can see the teamwork potential, but very few worked together, and covered each other.
On another note: what is the difference between CZ and regular CS? The spiced up CS:S looks nice :)

Ice: Yesterday I've played several times on the BoDserver and 2-3 times the connection got lost.
Delanvital: If you would have played on our server, it would have been more teamplay. We try and set up teamplay aswell on the BoDserver but that's more for people who are interested in it. For me it's team up with someone with VC's and teamplay and see what you can do in the fragfest out there. Even you can make a difference ;).
The main difference between the most CounterStrikeversions is just the graphics, skins and hitboxes.

Yup you are right about the BoD server. Sometimes some sort of teamwork appears but 95% of the time it is quake.
The difference between CS and CZ is that the graphics have been improved to CZ.
What you can do in CZ but not in CS:
*Hostages are more interactive and moveable by calling them as CT from a distaance.
*You can pick up dropped grenades.
*Use the Galil/Famas

Yup. In CSS there are more evolved weather added and of course all of the HL2 physics engine goodies.
But in CS:S you cant call hossies from a distance, Nor do they shout.
And bullets do almost nothing through doors/walls etc.
