I think you just have to catch up. I was going to do a few transfers yesterday (2) and discovered that I would be docked 4 points for them. After only 37 points on the first day I cant afford them!
One free transfer a week (already used mine) and 4 pts each thereafter.
After a poor start, I feel better things are ahead.
It's a funny old game innit.....

After doing so badly for the first 2 weeks I decided to have a major reshuffle, partly because both my keepers were injured and nearly 50% of the outfield players weren't actually playing.
So...
Kiely replaced by Robinson
Dudek replaced by Kirkland
Carvalho replaced by Cole
Giannakopoulos replaced by Barton
Wright-Phillips S replaced by Ljungberg
Flitcroft replaced by Tainio
Jenas replaced by Etherington
Cost me 28 points but what the hell, no play no pay.
Do we just get the points the transfer's score from now on in? Or do we inherit the scores from the previous weeks? (that make sense to anyone else?)
I'm guessing the points start from the 1st game they have for you, if you got the points they had previously then you could just pick all the good players from the last weeks matches.
I'm in the process of changing my team around a bit too, takes a while to do it though only changing one player at a time. I'm currently looking at swapping upto 5 players that are either crap/not playing or injured.
43 pts from my 1st match, I'm pretty pleased ;o)
Btw do any of you guys play FM2005 (used to CM series)? I've been playing it since CM1 on the amiga - so about 15+ years!! Jeez!
I don't play it as much now I've discovered DMW and BF2 but its bloody addictive!

Hi Rizzy the new Football Manager is even better, it just gets more and more addictive so far I've resisted playing it again - thats the problem though, so many good games to play and so little time - still retirement will be fun in oh 30 years :D

Subs are automatically done, you just pick the order they're used, if you look in "my team" & under the little pic of the pitch you should see your captain & the players you have on the bench - just put em in the order you'd prefer them to be used, & as for transfers - you can do 1 per match week for free & anymore will cost you 3 points (not counting the actuall money cost of them that is)
can't think of anything else that might be usefull at the moment

poor week for me, only had 4 players actually playing, most my team had there matches postponed.
If you only make 1 transfer per match week it doesnt cost you benny, anymore & its 3 points per person.

Probably not, I think that the points are deducted when they do the weekly update...
Plus every paid transfer, over the weekly freebie, is 4 pts, not 3.

You can transfer players, basically a 1 in 1 out system, all you need is enough cash to do it, you can swap 1 player per match week for free - anymore & you lose points for each player changed.

Shame there aren't many more weeks left, I'd like to think i'd be up the top if I'd figured out how to play this from the start. Been consistently scoring in the best 2-3 for the last months. :(
They'll be a new season soon enough jb, maybe we could do a world cup one to keep us going inbetween time - thats something for us to keep an eye out for.

To be honest I haven't touched my team since picking it, I've made no changes at all to my original squad because.... erm I couldn't be TANGO'd - so I'm pleased to be at the top this month and will be happy to be in the top 4 come the end of the season - hopefully.
