when i open..lets say my docs...(dont know when it started doin this)
i get a folders menu on the left hand side...i dont want that i would prefer wot i had b4 which was...the file and folders tasks and other places buttons....why and wot changed? :blink:

You mean on a 'My Computer' type window?

See that 'Folders' button on the toolbar? Unhighlight it and you should have your System Tasks, etc, pane back.

Or have I completely misunderstood you? :)

your on the right track m8 but it always used to open with system tasks there and not the folders why has it changed?
