Standby CS Channel password is st4ndby

Maybe it doesn't like the 00 in your name have you tried snooks? or snOOks? And make sure to untisk the "server assigns name" option
This is what your connection screen should look like. (Obviously use your name and not mine :D )

Hurrah it works now! Don't know why but the port number was wrong.

So basically you were lying here
Thread moved into a sub-topic so that only registered forums members can read the post with the details of the TS server.
TL.
Is it a good idea to create another channel? (yes, of course it is) i.e. one for the arabs/chinese and one for the Yanks. Or maybe just A and B channels.
Good point Ron but the way the server is setup we swap teams every round and I know I'll end up playing US but using MEC comms without even noticing (might even improve my game ) :)
isn't the TS server just for matches.
(thats BF2 matches 8) )
good point, hadn't thought of that
Ok we get the msg. *THIS* one is Not for CZ. :P

That must be why it's called the 'BF2 Teamspeak Server'
Sometimes the answer is so obvious it's in the title :norty:
TL.
due to the IP address changes, the IP in this image is now incorrect. Make sure you use;

Sculls, I wouldn't worry about teamspeak at the moment. It is only used if we have multi-squad teams and/or matches. For general game-play just get on the server, most evenings after about 7:30pm.
ok thanks i wont be on till after 12 tonight will you guys be still around??

What Doorman means: that's a tad late for us.
But since you are a mass-murderer according to your avatar, who knows if we're still around by then (somewhere in a pool of blood  ).
Start up: "Hi am"post ....lots easier for us to see what kind of fella you are.
welcome sculls...
post HERE (http://forum.deadmen.co.uk/index.php?showforum=43) to get a proper welcome :D
Teamspeak server, here? Ah! Is it possible ('course it is) to change the name of the lfs channel to 'Dead Men Racing'. For tidiness's sake. Thanking you in anticipation, -=[dMw]=-Doorman(Section Admin, Dead Men Racing) :P

Thanks :D
In the VERY near future the dMw Teamspeak service will be moved to a new server. To minimise the disruption to the community can you please do the following NOW:
If you have setup your TS connection to 87.240.138.19:8768 or //www.storms-uk.com:8768 then please change it to ts.storms-uk.com:8768
Doing this means that although the IP address will change in the near future you will not lose TS because the DNS name will be pointed to the new IP for you so any interruption in service should be negligible.
If you didn't understand any of that then just follow this action.
EDIT YOUR TS SETTINGS FOR THE DMW CHANNELS TO BE ts.storms-uk.com:8768[/SIZE]
Please note that this action is required by all BF2, Racing and WoW players in the community. In short, pretty much everyone :)
Regards,
The Admins
Just a quick note. I've changed the DNS record for the teamspeak server as the server is now on a new box.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO CHANGE ANYTHING! <- if you have followed the instructions in BBs post ;)
The server is setup identically to the old.
This is just to inform you that you may find that the server is not responding. This will be down to the changes not propagating fully and your computer trying to connect to the old server. It should only take a few hours to happen but can take upto 48 hours.
You can flush your local DNS cache by simply typing the following at the command prompt.
ipconfig /flushdns
I don't know what you guys think of giving the TS server ago on Monday. But as we are over filling 1 squad now, I think it would be good to talk:norty:
It's great when you're the stray person outside the squad, you can just take off your headset and chill out with some smooth jazz.
Nice.
