I just started my computer and went to play a bit of CZ. My server favorites came up and i joined a server no problem..i get on the server my names "player".. i have no buy script, RZE or Binds. AND my buttons are different!

Why would this happen?
I would guess that either the config.cfg or the userconfig.cfg file in your czero folder has been deleted, didn't load, is corrupt or has been changed in some way.
I keep backups of mine and keep them write protected.

We are talking about Steam who can mess things up with 1 update.
I also have backups of my spray and Nostromo settings just in case. Write protected is very important.
I remembered i had a backup of the steamapps folder..HAHA.
It seemed like the whole czero file had gone AWOL no screenys, demos etc.

I can play CS:S not CS or CZ...
I try to join a server and it says
"Steam has found a problem with your local game files. Game files will now be re-aquired for the steam servers"
but does nothing.
I cant even play offline as it says "wrong disk inserted"

You might have to delete the local game files for those games you cant play and then redownload them :(

Before you delete the BLOBfile, allways make a copy of it in another map of yours... :rolleyes:

sorted..just smashed my computer to bits, no more 'steam' worries.
Switch it on and add water. Instant 'steam'. :D
Ever used the 'backup game content' thingy? Maybe backup from there, or copy the .gcf files from Doris's machine?
i got my steam apps folder backed up, i uninstalled steam, reinstalled and inserted backup apps. works now.

It was game files we said to delete.

You didnt. I just thought what the heck, ill delete this, its only a small file, what difference can it make. :blink:
I was having connection probs anyway, i thought id try and sort everything out at once...turned out i screwed it up more.
