This is actually my first stab at a 'detective' novel...And what a fantastic set of novels these are!
The John Connolly 'Charlie Parker' novels include:
'Every Dead Thing'
'Dark Hollow'
'The Killing Kind'
'The White Road'
'Bad Men'
'Nocturnes'
And the latest: 'The Black Angel'
They follow the adventures of Charlie Parker and his friend through a sometimes nightmarish world of murder and mystery (in the style of Silence of the Lambs)...
Loads of scarey baddies, with a hint of the supernatural - and Charlie Parker is a fantastic Film Noir detective in the classic style.
Really great reads - bit of grizzly murder, horror and a little comedy (fantastic supporting characters - includes his friends Angle & Louise, a gay burglar and hit-man! LOL)
Get em, read em!
