Does anyone know how the beer thing will work at the LAN...
Must we purchase teh beer from the hotel - OR may we bring our own crate?
(I have a particular tatse for 'Leffe' and wanna bring my own crate!)
ALSO...
Cigars.
A yes - or a big 'no-no'?

You can buy beer from the Hotel (pints and so). They have Stella and several other brands. Bringing your own beer, I'm not sure about that. Maybe if they wouldn't see it, ask TL about this.
I know Leffe, it's a nice beer.

The hotel has a bar that it keeps open for us until the wee hours, so it is sensible to use their bar rather than your own private stash - it is implied when you negotiate the booking with a hotel that you will be using their facilities. Whilst it is entirely down to you what you bring to the LAN, please be aware that the owner and manager of the hotel regularly pop into the room to check we're alright and if we need anything. If they see you propped up in a corner with a crate of your own carry-outs then they'll probably not be too chuffed and this may or may not affect our ability to negotiate such a deal with them for LAN IX.
The LAN room itself is non-smoking, so you can bring your cigars but you'll need to smoke them in the designated areas of the hotel, or as some others do, just outside the building by the main entrance to the LAN room.

worked in a small pub for 7 years and its the one thing i hated more then the customers!
The designated smoking area is located at the other end of the High Street. :)

Forget the smog stuff, it kills you and stunts your growth.
On the beer front this is just another example of Ranger trying to avoid going to the bar. ´Oh no I have my own´.
Stop messing about and buy me a drink - its a competition you know, and I´m representing BIG.
Has anyone got the drinking rules yet.
