is there a tool or software that will allow me to view my connection speed from desktop?
btw iam on a router if that chages owt..... :unsure:

Not sure from the desktop, but I use this

if I want to test my speedlimit.

Log into Your Router via Explorer, it tells you on the first page shown.

DownStream Connection Speed 2272 kbps
UpStream Connection Speed 288 kbps
