Match Notes:

We won the knife round :D I killed 2

Thanks to JB for being SL. Went T from winning knives. JB called eco bridge rush first round - we won the round!!! After that we built up a good lead which they ate into a bit but some great finishing from the lads saw us through the first half. Unfortunately we had a HUGE lag spike towards end of first half (pings were over 500 for everybody). At end of half they asked to swap second half to their server because of lag. I agreed but after a brief discussion they decided to play out the match on our server. There were another few short lag bursts but over the 50 minutes of the match there were only about 30 secs lag total.

Second half they got off to a good start but some solid defending and good comms kept it together for us.

At end of the match they said they were going to contest it due to lag. I told them they were free to but it had been short lived and the same for everyone. I swapped sides to try to have a voice chat but 3 had left and they other 2 stayed dead. Ah well.

Most of them were good guys - Archangel had a good attitude but JiMbOb was a complete bloody whinger.

HLTV (http://www.number72.eclipse.co.uk/demos/dmw-nwfc.zip) here.

Thought we'd try something different from spending money on 1st round only to die.  They had a few good shots, not an outstanding clan by any means but did the usual trick of not complaining while winning but suddenly not happy when losing a few rounds.

Play em again despite the comments which we're by no means out of order.

They've entered a match result of 'Void'.

I've changed it to '17-7'.

I'm real sorry about the lag folks, hopefully the switch to the new server should remove the lag - the match server should end up running on it's own core and we'll have double the amount of RAM and faster HDDs so the map changes will be quicker and place less load on the CPUs anyway.

We hope to have it in the rack within a fortnight of LAN VIII.

If the opposition insist on having a dig it looks as if it might not be just our server that was glitched last night:
