.....Doorman & Arja. They were out riding their bikes today and Arja was hit by a maniac mororcyclist. She is at the moment in hospital with some very nasty head chest leg and face injuries. Ron will not be making it to the LAN for very understandable reasons.
I propose to send some flowers across to her on behalf of dMw. I'll let you know when it's done.

Sounds nasty. Here's hoping she's not too poorly and makes a full recovery.
Ron's just got back from the hospital and Arja is being sent to the theatre for the insertion of a drain in her chest. She has 4 broken ribs on one side and 2 on the other. So breathing is difficult. The hospital are going to let Ron know when she goes into the High Dependancy unit (one down from intensive care. Ron will let us know when she goes to a ward and I'll organise the flowers and message from us at that point.
Ron would prefer it if the news was not made public. He has no objection to the folks that he regards as 'old dMw' knowing, but let's not spread it any further than that. He is currently on an emotional roller coaster and appreciates the support we have offered.

Just a thought but some hospitals sort of frown on flowers now as they don't allow more than a small bouquet or sometimes none at all. Would it be worth waiting until we know Arja is getting home and she can then be greeted by a huge bouquet when she gets home. In the meantime we can send a card?

Has anyone heard how she's doing? It's not nice to pester people with calls and texts at time like this. hopefully she is recovering well.
