Nothing to do with admin but I didn't want to post this outside what I regard as dMw. (snobby TANGO)
I think most if not all of you know about Arja's accident well here is an update for you. Early this morning (2am) she was tranfered from Broomfild hospital to Oldchurch hospital in Romford. This is because they have a specialised neurological unit there and they were concerned, albeit not too much, about the bleeding inside the head. I went to see her this morning and she is stable, in fact improving. The nurse's instructions were carried out, like lift that leg, lift that arm etc. Where are you? Hospital, Who is here with you? Ron Who is Ron, is he your brother-son? My husband. Who is the prime minister? Tony fu*king Blair. :) All this is being mumbled. She'll have another scan this afternoon and I'll go back this evening.
I would appreciate it if you didn't answer with posts because I don't think I could cope. I'm very prone to blubbing at the drop of a hat.
Thanks for listening. End of bulletin
I had posted info about Arja's accident in the Admins section, not the TCS section, so apologies if some of you were not aware. Ron asked for the info to not go beyond us, so please let's accommodate his wishes. We will be sending some flowers in the near future, once we know hospital policy on receipt of flowers etc, otherwise they'll be sent to Arja when she returns home.

Quicky update. Went to the hospital this morning and various doctors were gathered round. I was shooed off and told 'visiting hours are between 3 and 8 pm' So I guess any residual compassion for me has evaporated! I'll take this as a GOOD sign. :)
Excellent! keep us posted when you have a chance m8
glad too hear ron hope she gets better soon
Latest. She's being transferred from the neurological hospital back to Broomfield as the scans etc. have proved to be ok. I spoke to her this afternoon and she remembers our bike ride and lunch but doesn't know why she's in hospital. Still very drowsy. So, all in all we can use the old 'on the road to recovery' cliche. :D Phew!
 :huggy: from me and the wife
Great news Ron. :)
Aw thats great Ron. Well chuffed for you both. Now you go and make sure you pamper her till she's well so she can then pamper you :)
Good news Ron
Btw, *now* is the time to buy that 21" TFT panel - when she notices it remind her that you bought it with her full approval the week before the accident.
She'll never suspect...... :norty:

Good News Ron. Really Good news.
I told you no posts. Now look what you've done. *blub blub*
Thanks fellas, I'll update this until she cooks my dinner for me. Err, hang on, she never cooks my dinner!
Well, she's out of the neuro hospital and back in Broomfield this morning. She's more aware of stuff now and she said to me 'Is it Wednesday?' Yes '28th? yes. 'In Finland it's Arja's name day' Amazing! She's on ward B7 Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford, but they don't take flowers. Greasy mechanics overalls yes, flowers no. Hey ho, back to the NHS we know and love. :)
Glad to hear it Ron, in which case we'll send something when she returns home......please give her our best wishes.

Great news Ron. Glad things are going well. As TL said give us some notice of a "home date" so we can get a timely delivery :)
All the best to Arja, Ron, sounds encouraging. Hang on in there.
This gets better and better. I arrived at the hossie this morning to find her sitting on the end of her bed. Her drains were removed and they reckon she can go to the loo very soon. :) That has become a serious lifetime ambition!
I won't bother you with more updates until the 'she's at home' stage.
Thanks for your support, I really appreciate it
:dmw:
I love a happy ending. :D
BTW Ron, how's the ironing :narnar:
Great news Ron. Glad to hear it.
PS OB asked me to enquire as to how the ironing was coming along? :narnar:
