Post by: Grimnar on September 26, 2005, 10:01:38 AM
Hello guys.

For now i have the following parts that i will bring with me:

1x Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe
1x AMD Athlon 3000+
2x Kingston 512MB DDR 400
1x ATI 9800 PRO 128MB
1x Headset
1x Mouse (not cordless)
2 or 3 HDD's

And maybe a keyboard.

But i still need some stuff to get it all working ;)

Can some peeps help me out with the next few things?

A case plus powersupplie
A DVD-ROM
A monitor
And also a keyboard (if possible)

Can someone help me out with that???
And am i missing some stuff??

Also a question about my HDD's do i have to install windows with an anti virus and steam etc. on it or do i need to bring with me some clean hdd's???

I hope some of you can help me out.

I have Liteon DVD Drive (USB) which I can bring is that's any use.

Sorry, can't help on anything else. (Struggling myself to find a non-cordless keyboard).

Only caveat is that I'm arriving midday friday and leaving lunchtime on sunday.

Please let me know if you'd like me to bring it.

Simple answer then really, they don't charge extra for overweight people to travel so simply disasemble your pc and strap various parts of it to yourself, fix the PSU on your back, glue the cpu to the side of your head, motherboard on your chest.  It'll all fit there somewhere, quite ingenious answer really.  Any problems going through the metal detector just tell them its a 'home made device', they'll understand and would probably give you a nice police escort too.  :D

At the risk of dragging this thread back on topic, is the Lite-on dvd any good for you?

Please let me know as I need to get stuff packed up the weekend -  bearing in mind I got back-to-back meetings next week before the LAN

Cheers

Ehrm, according to my knowledge Pen will be there most of the LAN. Althoug he's ariving later on the Friday that shouldn't be a problem. The bar is allready open when we arive. It's not only gaming but also socialising. Have a talk, get familiar with a few faces and so.
To be honoust i like the socialising more then gameplaying because now you can meet someone in reallife and put a face to the fella you shot alot or if he shot you alot.... :dummy:

NP - I'll bring it along and if it can serve a turn then so be it.

TBH, I don't think there's too much gaming before lunchtime on friday and after lunch on Sunday anyway so I doubt you'd miss much

According to my previous LANs we arive around lunchtime or just before and it was just helping install people and have a achat at the bar, the first few rounds of plsy started around 14.00. Sundays was around 14.30 that me and Dom left the scene. Before that it was for me like an hour of helping people get their rigs in the back of the cars and so.
Keyword at the -=[dMw]=-LANs for me is: socialising      :dmw:

I think that Benny will be first in the queue for your brother and Ice Hawk....probably for a fivesome with Snooks and Smite, although DA and Red may come back for more so it's officially an Orgy!! :D

Do you not have any "real" girls in Holland you could bring....maybe some of those behind the window would do for the rest of us!! :dribble:  :dribble:

I think the only one small enough to fit in one of the bags is Bridget but I don't think she's Dutch... :P

Just wait for the Amsterdamtrip...Swiss has been scouting Amsterdam allready for it...
