My favourite map: Karkand!!! Lots of downtown fun. However, at the map where the dam is (Kubra Dam?), I managed to get on a small hilltop looking down at you MEC guys trying to defend the flag just west of the dam.
I Raked up 12 kills there, before you finally pinned me and got me with a chopper, one full squad and two tanks (errrm... well.... at least you used up a couple of soldiers)..
Didn't know where the bullets came from, did you? :P
Heee-heeee-heeee!
-------------
I've been away from the game for a week or so, due to a complete reinstall of my system. It took me a day to realise why I couldn't find the dmw server. Forgot to install the latest patch, and I have the filter for same version on.
I take it you were Sniping ?
sniping can be such good fun :D you find a good spot/area and start taking out the enemy. If you can manage the headshots most of the time with the USMC rifle you don't have to move as often as the enemy don't get a convenient "bullets came from over that way" marker. At least I assume they don't as I sat stationary on clean sweep under a palm tree and took out quite a few infantry and was never even targetted in return :D

No, just using the M16. I was not far away, I could see the white in your eyes quite clearly. I think the sniper rifle would have been a disadvantage, being that close. I prefer the M16 with the three-bullet bursts. Normally, one burst would take out an enemy if I aimed for the head/torso.... or the back....
I kept telling my squad mates where you were, and if the flag was clear or not. Worked fine. For a while, anyway.

well, that red thing that indicates what direction the thing that hurt you just came from, so if you don't die in 1 shot you often have time to turn around to clock where the sniper is (at least vaguely)
the m16 is pretty decent for sniping, but the usmc sniper rifle wins when it comes to proper long distance spotting and shooting

If I shoot, you won't see anything until the spawn screen appears.
:D
I prefer the M16. I don't have the patience to lie around with the sniper rifle...
