Tryed it with Xfire, then the screen froze...
Tomorrow I'll try and get on, had some publics as a try to try all the stuff out. Must say, zapped 4 people allready and 2 knifings. All went well, even sniping and spotting went well. Also did some basejumping of a tower. 8)

Hi there Duvel...

Many apologies for being 'uncommunicative' with you when you messaged me on X-Fire last night.

I wasn't ignoring you!

Unfortunately my PC - as everyone probably noticed at the LAN - is only JUST of a spec to run BF2, and running anything in the background is simply too much for the poor thing!

When I get a message on X-Fire - like yours last night - it causes both X-Fire and BF2 to freeze up...

I get the same problem when trying to use Teamspeak (I get horrible lag).

So I hope you don't think I was being deliberately unhelpful - I just couldn't respond properly.

- Another reason I need a better computer!

:)

I hope you manage to get your problems sorted as it would be nice to see you back on BF2!

Regards,

Ranger

:( I do need some help with TeamSpeak and getting on the server. I tried all the things above and it didn't work.
Played on a couple of publics last night and this morning I wanted to play again and now when I start BF2 it keeps switching back to my desktop and when I want to join a server it stays on desktop. :(

Just reading your message again...

Does anyone else find it suspicious that Duvel is having problems connecting to NETWORKED/INTERNET based clients?

To me that sounds like a connection issue - but you've already tried adjusting the Firewall.

Weird.

I'm afraid that after all you have tried - I would have taken my computer to the nearest computer store for some technical help OR done a clean re-install of Windows.

But then I am crap with PCs...

Now on Apple Macs - that's a different story...LOL

:)

LMAO...

Poor old 9Slice is still trying to recover from his porn overdose at the LAN!

We can't mention the word 'soap' in his company without him slipping into a day-dream and dribbling!

;)

(I guess you had to be there!)

LOL...

When I went to bed on the Saturday night I was most distressed - being 'environmentally friendly' - to see so many computers left turned on while thier owners had gone to bed...

However, the next morning - when I mentioned this - it was explained to me that they had been left on to suck all the porn off Sheepy's/Benny's machine!

....Just as well the room was air-conditioned!

:)
