Thanks for the games last night lads - sorry to the guys in my squad as I was clearly crap as SL last night (couldn't get it together at all).

Anyway - to the problems.
First off there was the Punkbuster problem - I kept being booted as PB kept telling me I had corrupted file memory or something.
(Warning: Rant ahead!) :ranting:
And secondly - and much more frustratingly - there was a guy called [sms] Grudge (or something like that, can't remember)...
This guy continually refused to join a squad - then went on to create his own squad with another [sms] guy I think...(So we couldn't request his support or give orders/information to him)...
THEN...He shot at me! (I was on his side).
He shot at me to attract my attension when he wanted a lift - as a result he killed me (accidently) on one occassion.
THEN...When he wanted to use a fix position defence weapon - TOW or Stinger - when someone else was on it, he would stand right in front of the weapon (so you couldn't see out the scope) until you got off and then he would jump on it!
[Edit: I have to admit that on one occassion - on a TOW - I nearly pulled the trigger when he did this. He annoyed me so much.]
THEN...He would take badly needed armour - APC or Tank - and drive off in some random direction - usually AWAY from where the hardware was needed.
In the end the Admin (Blueball or Oldbloke) had to boot him and ban him.

This kind of spoilt the evening for me - more than the PB problem which was just a random technical bug - we are not used to this childish behaviour on dMw and it has more impact because we have such small teams.
It took the shine off the terrific team-work and mature play we had on both sides in the Karkland game.
The only good news is that this guy is permanently banned now - but I will always be on my guard now when I see a [sms] member on the dMw server
Yup it was me that banned him. He wouldn't respond to screen messages or admin messages and he wouldn't join the squad. He also was TKing and running people over with tanks/APCs so he got a perm ban.
Shame as he has been on server before and not been a problem but he won't be on it again as he spoiled a good night for me which is one reason we like to password the servers now and again :)
Strange that....Grudge has played many times before with us on the server with no problems...
I wonder why he was like that last night?
edit: or am I confusing him with mcFudge (who is beyond reproach)?...it's just they both end in "udge" :blush:

Yeah Karkand was shaping up nicely when I had to taxi Tox to his mate's...He was about to join us when news of a party came through...no contest :rolleyes:
I commented to him in the car that I have noticed how everybody's accuracy has improved in the last couple of weeks...even mine!
good tank battles on the oilfields too... :D
