To describe what he was like - if you have seen the movie 'Kelly's Heroes' - then this SL was exactly like Sgt. Oddball - a spaced out, semi-hippy GI!

This guy was a loon - but great fun, even if I didn't understand him most of the time (at one point I thought he had fallen asleep while giving an order!!)
...Why oh why can't we have more squad leaders who are complete lunatics! LOL
