-=[dMw]=-Dewey recently upgraded his computer to a bit of a monstor...And so he was kind enough to sell me his old machine at a really terrific price (ta mate!)...
Anyway - as you may have spotted at the LAN I probably had the crappiest PC, it just bearly ran BF2 at the lowest settings - I literally saw the grass growing as I walked across a field!
My graphics card was THE lowest spec'd card you could run BF2 with - ATI Radeon 7550!
So tonight I sparked up my new PC and took a look at BF2....WOW!
I can see stuff I never saw before - there are shadows, and metal guns looks like metal guns and no longer like toys!

Objects cast shadows, wheels look ROUND, metal reflects and people look like people (and not little polygon men!).
Can't wait to try it out in a live game (only a glitch with the sound settings and a network issue stops me).
...All in all I'm a happy puppy! Nice to finally see roughly what you guys see.
The only thing that took the shine off was Dewey showing me his new compy attached to his new Dell 20" LCD monitor! :(
But hey - Maybe next year I will upgrade again! :)
(Big thanks to Dewey - I may have to let him kill me a few times to show my appreciation. LOL)
