Only thing I don't like about that keypad - compared to the Nostromo - is that it isn't shaped...
Part of the reason the Nostromo works so well - IMHO - is that it is shaped to the hand so well and has a nice palm rest that makes long game play comfortable.
This pad is very flat.
So will be interested in BlueBall's report.
PS - there are other game pad alternatives out there and keyboard keypad alternatives...Wolf Claw II FPS Keyboard is an excellent one. http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/input/7a67/?cpg=wnrdf (http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/input/7a67/?cpg=wnrdf)
There's also the Terratec Mystify Command pad - which never caught on but looks really comfy: http://www.ciao.co.uk/Terratec_Mystify_Command_pad__5434173 (http://www.ciao.co.uk/Terratec_Mystify_Command_pad__5434173)

I thought it looked quite 'mean' (in a good way) sot of!
They were actually thinking of making this - at one time - for the Xbox as a mouse alternative - but it fell through. Pity, as it would have made FPSs on the Xbox a little easier to play.
...I suppose we will have to wait for someone to come up with hard connections to the cortex for us to get the ideal input (bet Microsoft will be the first - then Bill - the Prince of Darkness - will finally have access to our minds!)...
Mmmmmuuuuuhhh--ha ha ha (evil laugh)
Maybe on the Xbox 360 they'll allow us to use our mouse and keyboards. Maybe even our monitors.....

Lets hope so - it was diabolical that the Xbox HAS usb but MS decided to make them a propriatory connector to stop you using normal USB peripherals!
The whole mouse issue had something to do with MS not wanting users to use the Xbox as a workstation though wasn't it...
But that didn't stop people doing so!
:)
The fact is that a mouse is the BEST way to play an FPS - no matter what console geeks say. However, the problem is that most console users don't want to sit at a table to play games (or have some other surface to use a mouse)...But no body has come up with a good mouse replacement that doesn't need a surface!
I like consoles - but I have several FPSs on them - including Ghost Recon (a firm favourite of mine) and Ranbow 6 and HALO - and I have found them all too fiddly to use with a console gamepad!

How very true.
The anologue sticks dont give enough precision for my liking.

Did you get it then?
What's the conclusion? Anygood?
:)
Oops, sorry. Forgot to post anything.
To be honest I'm still evaluating it. I have both it and the Nostromo plugged in and I have setup BF2 to use the keys on the CybaSniper panel while I still use the nostromo for CS.
The keys on the CybaSniper are slightly soft but positive enough in use. They are not very close together and may suit the larger hand (I have small hands)! I find I have to move my hand around to get to some of the keys. The number keys are in a row above the WASD keys and the Function keys are in another row above that so its quite a stretch to get to them; with the Nostromo your hand pretty much stays where you put it. However, not leaving your hand in the same position may be good for avoiding joint stiffness or RSI - who knows ;)
I like the CybaSniper Panel but I'm still not used to it yet and heaven't reached the point where it is intuitive as to which button does what (because the layout is quite different to the Nostromo). I do remember that I had the same problem when I went from the Nostromo N50 to the Nostromo N52 - I couldn't remember which key was which.
Any way, I'll keep with it for a while and see how it goes.
At present I would give it about 7 out of 10 with the Nostromo N52 at 8 out of 10
how are you getting on with it then BB? :g:
I prefer it for some games (BF2 etc) but for CS I still find the Nostromo better. Overall the Nostromo is more comfortable to use but I like the number of buttons on the Cyber Snipa
Final scores:
Cyber Snipa 7/10
Nostromo N52 8/10
I still love my new baby!
