Well I didn't get online till about 8pm - straight on in Karkland, joined the side that where getting hammered and only had 1 base left. Did my usual and jumped straight into a vehicle (jeep) and was quickly reminded that we these where off limits - doh! Sorry guys, I'm easily confused :D We lost that game.
Next map Mashturr City - I'm really getting to like this map after some of the recent dMw games we've had on here. We managed to lose on this map twice but I still enjoyed it.
Next up was Zatar Wetlands and for me this was the highlight of the night. Confusion reined again as people wheren't sure what vehicles they could use - also the game was restarted twice! Then we where told we could use all vehicles... grrr. Far be it for me to tell the system admins their jobs (a thankless task), but we need clear consistent rules per night, not ones that change game to game, if you think its confusing for the dMw regulars imagine what its like for a visitor? We need to make the experience on our servers as friendly and welcoming as possible - and consistency will help.
Nobody wanted to be SL on Zatar so I ended up with the role. We started off well, I grabbed a jeep, 2 guys with me, drove like an TANGO and ended up in the river  so we decided to use the apc's instead. The guys in the squad did great despite my worse interventions and we quickly took the middle base and proceeded to hold it and defend, despite the best attempts of the opposition.
A few of the visitors in the squad weren't using Comms, but I guess they might have been shy or their comms weren't working - anyway I had my bossy head on and proceeded to tell people exactly what I wanted them to do - most listened and follewed instructions some didn't but it worked. I'm not going to apologise for giving out orders though, I was in my element :dribble: *meglomania anyone?* Anyway we won that one.
Then went on to Dragon valley, I'm usually the first in the map, and I didn't want to be SL again so I didn't create a squad, I move into position only to find myself kicked because I forgot to join a squad.. Doh! I rejoin but I'm now on the opponents side - kinda strange actually, you know what its like.. you've been with your squad all night and you start feeling attached to them  Anyway after some moral dilemmas of shooting my ex comrades (which I soon got over!) we had another good battle but I had to be in beddy byes so had to leave.
Good games again though as always... I just don't seem to tire of Bf2 especially playing with you guys. See on there tonight! :D
I knew it was your fault we lost that first one, when you arrived we were ready to take back the other 4 bases, but oh no, you turned up and we promptly lost.... ;)
I think the main thing I keep learning and not putting into practice is the medic's overall impact on the game. Get a flag, fill it full of health packs and hold fast whilst you get some help.
Stay on top of the SL so you have an invincible spawn point....

Totally agree, medics are probably THE most important and influential class in the game, at the end of the day if you have more men on your side for more of the time, chances are you'll win - infinite life is kinda cool :) Coupled with a support guy and you have a foundation for a good squad - never ending AT or GL anyone?
I was in a two man-squad at Zatar. We managed to get the next flag all by ourselves, hiding in the grass as we approached. We also held it until help arrived (in the form om BIG-dewey, but sadly we lost the base very quickly after said person arrived :D
And we didn't use any armour. Not much anyway. :D

I seem to remember you came charging in, in a very gung-ho way... didn't you jump out of a helicopter and on to a roof?
Alle the while sparying the enemies with your 60 cal machine gun (which you just ripped loose from the side of the Huey....errm... )...? Welcome back Johnny... :P
