Ever been squad leader or commander and wished that you could see both the action AND the command map at the same time?
Yeah - me too.
Also - wouldn't it be fantastic to be flying in your Cobra and see the map rolling along at the same time?
It's a pity BF2 didn't support multiple monitors - particularly as the command/SL role is so important to the game....
I often find myself in a vehicle and want to check my map - so I have to stop and look at the darn thing then start driving again. I guess you could say that this is realistic in that a real driver would have to stop to look at teh map - but you just know as soon as you stop to look at the map some git (Liberator usually! LOL) comes along and bombs you!
:)
BTW - I found this link to soem very expensive multiple monitor stands - here's a lovely three 20" LCD monitor 'tree' - wouldn't this be nice for BF"?

BTW, I want to set up 2 monitors and what do I need for it?
I'm with you on the rest. Dual monitor would be cool.

Twin head video card and two monitors is a good start. Software is generally supplied with the card driver, although Dewey was looking at some 3rd party stuff - supermon or something like that.
I've got 2 monitors allready but I'm trying to sort my comp. It keeps restarting itself and it can't be a heat problem :(
Duvel,
Great bit of software if you are running two monitors called Ultramon - 30 day free then about 25 quid. Worth it IMO as its got a lot of functionality. Google it. I now have bf2 running on one and xfire open on the other, very handy.
Being able to access a second screen with your X-Fire and system controls (audio and the like) would be great...
That's why I would like a second screen.
Trouble is that it's a slippery slope isn't it? After all you don't want to spoil the 'look' of that expensive LCD screen by banging a tatty 15 inch CRT next to it do you?
No - you want something that at least looks as smart, and ideally exactly matches your main screen!
:)
I'm thinking about the middle way - which is to get a smart little LCD to go with my nice new Dell 20" 2001FP...
Something like a 15" Hyundi or Samsung - cheap but good quality....And in black and grey to match the Dell!
What a sucker I am!
:)
