As many of you know, there have been major changes underway here at Network 42 Tactical Gaming. Our Ghost Recon environment has been taken up a notch or twelve by Badger and great things are underway in that area. Our new Flight Sim community is beginning to evolve and take shape, and based on some snooping on some of the other flight sim community forums, people are very interested in what Network 42 has to offer.
Over the past 2 years, Network 42 has undergone a huge evolution. We've changed, we've grown up, and we've found new focus: tactical and teamplay oriented gaming at it's highest level. We've brought Kunin on board to head up the re-branding, image and marketing of Network 42.
The first step in this process is going to be the re-branding of Network 42. The focus of our community is tactical gameplay.
In the very near future we will be replacing all of the Network 42 logos with the new Tactical Gamer logos. Our official domain name will change from http://www.xlii.com (http://www.xlii.com) to http://www.tacticalgamer.com (http://www.tacticalgamer.com). The colors and feel of the site as well as the overall fit and finish will also change in the near future, although not as immediate as the identity change.
As a side note- all of the original xlii.com links on other sites will still work and get you to TacticalGamer.com, but the URL's will be re-written automatically so the end user sees the new domain name.
I hope all of you are as excited about these changes as I am. It's been 6 years since Network 42 first went on-line in one form or another, so changing the identity is a major step for me. A large part of the reason I am so comfortable with this change is because I feel we have a great team helping move us forward and establish ourselves in the on-line gameplay arena. With the overall guidance of Lt_Bob, Total, Kunin and Badger, I feel that things are well under control and that we're moving in the right direction.

That is a negative.
CS server is still fully operational, though it is public now.
Currently, we are working on a new map pack to cut down the size of custom maps (previous map pack was 126 MB or close to that; currently, the beta pack is 47 MB big).
Yeah, big old map pack that one. Sadako, Benny and myself were responsible for adding 50MB to that download :lol:
