What happened during Zatar Wetlands - LOL?
We were quite merrily doing a back and forth battle for the central base ~ then blow me, suddenly without warning our rear base gets taken and it's all down hill from there!

Was a good game - and I know what happened really! (Some late joiners didn't know it was Central base only).

Can't believe my squad managed to push MEC all the way back to the Train Wreck and still lost on tickets! Well played MEC...
Sorry about those two random guys on our team ~ dunno who they were and they wouldn't respond to our many requests/shouts to join in properly. Mostly they went off and did their own thing and didn't really contribute much to the team effort - they didn't seem to understand what AAS was as they always seemed to be trying to take your last base!
As usual I had a terrific squad - to have to start right back at the Hotel AGAIN (we did this twice) and still push on all the way to the Train Wreck takes some grit!

MEC had a tank at the Hotel giving us real grief...
I sneaked through the arches to C4 it on one side - HOWEVER, unknown to me Delanvital was C4ing the same tank on the OTHER side!
He set off his C4 first taking me with it just as I was about to set off my C4!!!
THEN - (I think it was) Blunt, who tried to medic me, was Tea Caked too as what was left of the tank blew up taking him with it...
Ahhhhhh - how we all laughed! (...Eventually!)

OH! Nearly forgot...
I have to boast a bit (sorry!) - I did a fantastic long range shot from my tank while on Zatar Wetlands!
I (USMC) was on top of the central hill looking over the bridge towards the next MEC base...
I caught a glimpse of the MEC tank rolling out their base ~ but it did that vanishing act that things in the extreme distance seem to do in BF2...
But I 'guessed' where I thought it might be and took a couple of shots - 'KA-BOOM!'

I think it was OldBloke in it!
I know it's a bit un-dMw to gloat - but it was the best tank shot I have ever done in BF2 - particularly as I COULDN'T SEE THE TARGET!

Just to correct a bit:
I was crawling behind the tank playing engineer trying to toss out an AT-mine. I dropped the mine and just as I was about to run away the tank ran backwards and over me, but didn't kill me! That meant I could not stand up and run - so I was crawling backwards all I could, while looking at the the two AT mines I had put out in front of me. I managed to just get out from under it, when the tank hit the first mine.
I had NO idea you were C4'ing the tank, since I was under it :lmfao:

I cannot take credit for all of my C4 kills. At one point we were defending suburbs and had just survived an infantry+tank assault. I'd used up all my C4 and noticed delantivals kit was also spec ops, grabbed his kit, switched to C$, went for the detonator and hit the button, didn't hear anything, but got a "You killed Ranger" message flick up :roflmao:

Yes, he'd layed a load of C4 round the garden at the Square - I had just jumped off the roof and 'KA-BOOM!' - I nearly ended back on top of the roof again!
