Sorry to p*ss on your chips guys but we have a problem.

Our members who play CZ matches have had to put up with dire server performance since we started running BF2 alongside CZ. Experiencing lag during matches is not fun and suffering the derision and insults from the opposition ... just rubs salt in the wound. :(

So I will be shutting down the BF2 server tonight just before 9pm and restarting it when the match is over - usually 45mins after start.

That gives all you BF2 bods the rest of the time to try out the new SF AAS as supplied by Lib. :D

Pretty Please

You are right Arm.

I played a test-game with mono and that SCAR rifle is too powerful. Whoever had the rifle wiped the other one out. I later played a bit online and I actually made it a habit to kill someone with a rifle and then take it.

I enjoyed SF more in hindsight that at the time :(. we had 3 tough maps (the opposition always is going to have an advantage when they have the guy who knows were to go ;) ) and they played better :g:

Iron Gattor, what a map (reminds me of CS_Assault) great if your a defender. hell for the attacker.

Iron Gator is a hard one to attack as the only apparent way in is through the aft bay...

I wonder if it's possible to scale the sides with grappling hooks From a dingy?
it would give us another option.

the chopper didn't last more than 30 secs when the AA was manned, and a reception commitee in the aft bay was almost impossible to overcome...( I forgot to ask how our SL made it on board)

GG's though :D

Hmmm, well I've played Iron Gator on a ranked server with 64 players, and it wasn't any easier to get on board, in fact we didn't manage it. It got so bad the defenders began attacking the shore  :D

Regarding last nights games a few things I thought about SF:

I agree with Arm your at a disadvantage if your not playing the SAS/Seals etc as their weapons are better, I then noticed they'd actually downgraded my AK47 and got rid of the GL facility ... evil  <_<

I don't like night games period. Too bloody dark, me and Blunt spent ages fumbling around the maps, getting caught out by boulders, and other debris.

The night vision sucks, just makes everything monochrome green and in some cases you can't differentiate between dark and a sudden drop

However, I love the new weapons but especially the grapple hook and zip line, what a laugh, had a few fun moments with those and the noise Blunt made when he tried it for the first time will remain with me always  :huggy:

I like the daytime urban maps though, Ghost town is one, great laugh, like karkand.

Where we playing on the 64 player maps last night, as they seemed huge?

Good to see 6 a side though on a Sunday night.

Ghost town is a very balanced map, with the 'Convoy' becoming the main battle point, pity we didn't get to 'Warlord', thats another urban map that promisses to be good.

We were on the 32 player maps, 'Iron Gator' is the same size on 64 as it is on 32, there are just more boats on 64.
