Title: SF weapon unlock
Post by: Dewey on December 05, 2005, 01:59:29 PM
I got two unlocks after playing just a few games of SF so soon everyone will be picking new weapons that they can use in BF2 or SF.

So I went for the G3 (yes I know its not an SF weapon but its supposed to be good) and then for the SF Medic unlock G36(?). I really like it, seems to have the same stopping power as an AK but the real advantage to me was the lack of recoil, its so negligible I can take it of single shot and instead use burst(or is it auto?) to hit targets.

Me and norm (think it was Norm) where playtesting an SF map on the dMw server shooting at Ranger in an APC below us - on Ghost Town.

We where really high in the top of the tall bell tower. Norm began shooting the top of the stationery apc with the upgrade Assault weapon (F2000) and noticed on burst it wasn't that accuract with some shots not hitting the apc. I did the same with my medic gun and just about every shot hit the apc, ie the shot groupings seemed a lot tighter.

Obviously the SF medic unlock doesn't have the stopping power nor GL of the assault weapon but I swear by it - I don't feel like I'm going to get owned as much going head to head with the assault boys - oh and it makes a great sniper rifle on S/S.

Anyone noticed that in SF the MEC/Insurgent Assault weapon has been stripped of its GL?

is that the F2000? Good stopping power apparently and GL is nice.

The F2000 is excellent at 'rapid sniping' i.e. many quick single shots using the "scope". You can to some extent leave it at burst and fire single-shots as well.
Finally it reloads just a *tiny* bit faster. It is large and ugly, but me likes it :D

No, AFAIK once you have it unlocked it, the weapon will be available regardless of what side you are on.
