Simply query - just so I know who I can expect to nab for a multiplayer game from dMw!
I've got the full game, but i'll probably not be up for multiplayer on it i'm afraid. I just prefer the combat of BF2 (when played with people who actually work as a team...) for multiplayer stuff.
I've got my fingers crossed that it might appear for xmas but as SWMBO still doesn't understand why I upgraded from Windows 95 and "you haven't finished your old games yet" I'm not holding out too much hope :(

Heh. I completed it a few weeks back and offered to lend it to a workmate. He mentioned this to his wife that night, and she apparently made a small choking/squeaking sound he couldn't reproduce and looked rather pained. He then got a nod to the question 'So, that'd be a bad idea then?'...
Guess what she's got him for Christmas ;)

Luckily for me my girlfriend knew what I was like on that front when we started going out. She also likes games such as NeverWinter Nights, Sims 2, and Age Of Empires 3, so she puts up with me getting new systems so she can have my old one. If i'm ever paying too much attention to the game and she wants it directed at her she'll just come and sit on my lap. Works every time ;) Also got me killed twice during the gaming on Monday night, it's a lot easier to deal with when there's a puase button

You left handed?
Interestingly you have the same keyboard and mouse as I do ~ but I have the 20" Dell FP2001 ~ but I'd like another! LOL
You have a surround sound set-up ~ don't you use headphones?
(This is all OT of course! LOL)
I MUST get my CPU under my desk - I have it on top at the moment so loose a lot of desk space!
The other thing I have is a huge Razor game mouse pad and a Nostromo n52 ~ which take up space!
...I need a bigger desk!
:)

LMAO!
Me and my partner have an agreement that we DON'T buy stuff for ourselves (other than essencials) in December to avoid this...
This can be a bitch as I have a load of stuff I wanna buy at the moment but can't just in case she has bought any of them for my Xmas!
LOL

Yes, I am a cack-hander ;)
I didn't want to get a 20" TFT as i'd heard so much about TFTs not looking particularly nice at non-native res, and on a 20" that'd be 1600x1200. As it is, I have yet to find something I can't run at 1280x1024 on those 19" ones (Viewsonic VP191s). I have also dropped the res down to 1024x768 to see how it looked, and it was still pretty good, so i'm quite glad I spent the extra to get some good monitors.
I have a surround sound setup for playing single player stuff. I'm a big SP gamer, and it really (to me) makes a difference having a proper surround sound setup when playing stuff like FEAR, Thief 3, CoD2, anything with good positional audio basically. I do also have a pair of headphones with mic (have in fact just bought - see other forum posts - a pair of Steelsound 5H's) for playing BF2 and CS, but I only really use 'em for those two, cos they're the ones I use the mic in (or when my girlfriend, who's computer is on the opposite side of the room, wants to listen to music or do work).
My main reason for getting the TFTs was to reclaim desk space (my CRTs were only 17". I don't think I could fit 19" ones on there. And that's even with a particularly deep desk I picked out specially to hold big monitors). If I put the tower on top of the desk i'd have no space whatsoever. It's a pretty big beast, and apart from that it's got the case window with an LED fan and UV cold cathode to make the watercooling pipes glow (I may have grown up in the 90s, but I maintain that the 80s had it down on the style front ;) ) so if I had it on the desk i'd probably have trouble seeing the right hand monitor.
yeh...tried only once on line though....
got seriously raped ...but was fun as I knew none of the maps ...
will be trying it out again soon ..
still not tried Dingo's server as yet !!
;)

It's a rental house, so i'm not allowed to change it. Same goes for the carpet. No way i'm gonna get a mortgage till my girlfriend's out of uni.
To be honest, I didn't notice the walls were pink until you pointed it out. They define the boundaries of the room, but i don't really care about the boundaries, just the contents. Apparently our hallway carpet is hideous and in a 70s vein too, but until it was pointed out I never realised, becuase i'd never actually looked at it, just things on it.
:narnar:
good reply

Yup, but I could compete at Olympic level on not noticing things I really don't care about, such as Football, decor, or attempts at management ;)
BACK ON TOPIC!

I got it.
