Title: Cream rises to the top
Post by: Blunt on December 15, 2005, 11:56:14 PM
Norm,  Monkey, Pen and assorted -=[dMw]=-others played a great last round tonight on Stalemate...

It went right down to the wire...24/24 then 12/9 and so on....

Superb squad leader skills by Lib...who seemed to know what the enemy were going to do next....spooky

please don't tell me you were all lone-wolfing, coz it looked to us like you had a well thought out plan...

the flags yo-yo'd with some hard fighting until we stabilized the game at the small airfield

it wasn't until Lib said that we only have to hold this flag to bleed you that we relaxed...I haven't been so tensed up in ages

kudos to Lib, Ron, Swiss, Mono(awesome in a tank) and everyone else in the game

apologies to anyone I've missed out...I struggled to remember if I was there

ps I was prepared to let the base-rape go (although we were losing at the time), because we had all eventualities covered...

Wish I had been there from the start, excellent game,I thought we might have pulled it off if our little dingy commando raid had not been spotted by the spy in the sky(Lib in his Eagle). ;) Well played all. :D

Aw, shucks

Plan?  Me? :roflmao:

Ron cleared the ridge like a special forces pro, nicely done.

Pendragon was with us as well.

Well done all, we had some very good teamwork going all the way. Good forward and backward communications within the squad made for a very organised assault/withdrawral/defence at every turn in the game.

That game started at 20:30 and ended at about 23:20. Nearly 3 hours for a single map, Sn00ks and OB joined and left within that time, along with a few other dMw'ers.

Oh, a friendly reminder PM sent to the 'base raping' individual. He's new and enjoys the dMw server, he just has to pick up our ethics. <_<

Helluva game. I played my usual 'duh, where do I go now?' game and was amazed to see it go down to the wire. I was particularly proud of getting boris who was running away like a big girl's blouse. All he needed to do was to turn round and I would have run away!  :D

i swear i NEVER said it would float!!!! i casually observed that i didnt think the crossing was that deep thats all - and off we went and sunk like a..... jeep with 3 blokes in!!!  :(

Unfortunately Doorman its a habit i have to break, if i cant shoot you from 500 yards i run away squealing like a girl looking for a box to hide behind - i dont think i have ever won a one-on-one meeting, ever!!!!

Had a great time last night, and was really nervous on the final commando raid in the dinghy - got so excited i didnt see 'himagain' get blown up by the bombing run, and turned round and shot norm with an AT rocket - but he didnt die so thats alright!!!!

top games and great company

Wasn't me who spotted you, I can't remember who it was, Cadaver was up in the jet so it might have been him, although Swiss and Mono were actively monitoring the shoreline (Swiss rings a bell).

'twas me.  I was running a combat air patrol in the Eagle over the airfield base.  Basically trying to take out any armour that was advancing on our position, hassle any helicopters, and spot enemies.

I saw the boat raid trying to sneak around the back of the hangar, informed the squad it was coming, and was then told to bomb it in to oblivion.

was very good, dno't think I've enjoyed cleansweep so much before! We so almost pushed the usmc back off the island, but then dropped back again. I thought we had you but the tickets eased their way down to about 13-12 ...at which point nothing happened for about 5 minutes  :tumbleweed:  while we waited and waited. Unfortunately we managed to poke our heads up a little too much and went down a few points, and the dinghy run got wiped out and that was that. something like 8-0 in the end? Excellent stuff :clap2:

  Thanks mate. I got a few choppers didn't I?  :)

I think it must have been in the top 3 of all BF2 games. Man, it was intense!!! Good fighting from everybody and as said somewhere above, even the baseraping didn't seem so annoying because we took out the chopper [that was nicked from there] every time  ;) :D

Teamwork and communications was very good, and I agree that Lib did some great SL'ing.

Still amazing how quickly we got from attacking at the docks to defending refuelling. Good work by the opposition.

My highlight of the evening (apart from taking out them choppers) was spotting a boat racing along the airstrip out of the corner of my eye (erhm, monitor), swiveling the turret of the tank around and splattering them with lead from the machinegun leading it just right - i don't think I wasted one bullet... that felt really good  :D

Top game everyone!!!

I had family duties to attend to so missed this!

You ALWAYS know there's gonna be a good game when you are not there eh?

Still - apart from the 'public invasion night' - every nights been a good one lately.

Last night was a terrific one....LOL (Er, I was on TG playing BF2 while others were playing that obscure old game....Er, Counter something...Whatever!)
