Title: Respect and its downside
Post by: big-paddy on December 21, 2005, 03:29:25 PM
Since playing on the dMw server I gave up my favourite medic role. I always thought that races betwen medics to zap someone was rather embarassing, we saw too much non team races on Joint Ops. We had a few good medics in dMw and I was new so I did something else.

I never really felt comfortable doing other roles really though. Yeah I swap around when needed, but I am a medic, thats what I do. Second I would probably choose support. You see that I am more a backup guy than front line. Thats my game and I used to be good.

Anyway just lately I decided that I should stop messing around and get back to being a medic. And I've stopped holding up the score lists now. I know the score doesnt mean anything to us here, but when one is always near the bottom it means something to you. Back to medic and I am up there in the list second or third, even when more than three people are playing!

The great thing is that the dMw crew dont seem to chase the same bodies. I seldom find myself at a fallen comrade with other medics. Better still I have been in squads where medic is 'de rigueur' and damn fine they were too.  So here I declare myself a medic for the good of you all and me. I have been other classes out of respect for others, but it turns out to have been the wrong decision.

PS. of course i will still swap when necessary

As you say, swap when needed for the good of the squad :)

Ehrm, last Sunday I played medic, after that resuplie and then engineer and then medic again as the team needed it.
Ended up first though.
