renderer.drawfps 1

in the console (which you can get to using the `key top left on your keyboard usually)

I use this. The free version only allows 30secs of  Video recording and you have to use Microsoft movie maker to compress it if you want to keep it. It is ok if you are about to knife someone and have enough time to hit a hot key.

It allows printscreens which are easy to view and save elsewhere.

You can subsribe for the full version for £21 one off. That version compresses the videos but in my opinion its not worth it as it will sap your resourses on the PC if video is used.

You can have your FPS on top or not and also place it at any corner you wish.

It also records benchmarking if you need it.

In my opinion it is a nice bit of kit and i use it all the time now.

my graphics card drivers seem to display fps automatically... (at least I don't think it's fraps managing to run unbid :)) maybe ATI control centre or the ATI tray tools plugin does it...

Now I know why I keep getting the console come up - I wondered whichj key it was. I hust hit everything until it goes away. Really anoying when you sneak up on someone and the cant see whats happening. :blush2:

That key is used alot in al kind of games, also in CounterStrike.
It's: ` or ~
In CS we use it alot for adminstuff.
