I got I nice new shiny Z board for Christmas.

All works well except the Jump/Parachute key. which wants 2 actions bound to the same key, but BF2 will not let me do this.

Has anybody got this to work properly

hang on a minute, I'll have a look

btw...can you alt-tab with your BF2 keyset?...cos I can't :(

hmmm....

I've posted on the zboard forums but I may as well of not bovvered....waste of space.

anyways....parachute/jump key works if you do the following....

Go to your My Documents folder and look for:


Battlefield 2\Profiles\000* (mine is 0001)

Open the Controls.con with Notepad. (Make a copy first)

Change this line:

ControlMap.addKeyToTriggerMapping c_PIWeaponSelect9 IDFKeyboard IDKey_9 10000 0

to this:

ControlMap.addKeyToTriggerMapping c_PIWeaponSelect9 IDFKeyboard IDKey_Space 10000 0

Save



it worked a treat for me :D

I like mine Norm... 8)

I even like the feel of the keys :blush:

I couldn't play BF2 without it....but I might consider an eclipse combo or nostromo next time I need 1

How are you faring with the zboard Armi?

have you tried to alt-tab in game yet?

can you scroll-x for xfire messages?

I still love mine, but I would like to have all the usual functions. <_<

yeah the alt tab works ok/

I'm still getting used to the key layout. It will take weeks if I ever want to go back to a standard keyboard :blink: .

one question have you edited the layout for the command comm rose and the change kit key?

No I'm quite happy where they are...except I sometimes hit comm rose key when I want to switch to single shot (3)...but it's not that much of a problem 8)

I have changed the comms button though...the default comms key is for SL to CO comms...so I changed it in BF2 options...

I had to select CO comms channel 1st and change it to backspace, then change Squad comms to the key of my choice(B ), then change CO comms back to v.

I find that after Tox has been using my rig, eg night before last, the next time I play my settings have changed back... :blink:

have you tried changing them over in-game options?
