Title: Boot Problems
Post by: GhostMjr on December 29, 2005, 10:45:01 AM
Whenever i try to boot by pressing my on/off button to start the computer from cold it seems to lock on the asus NCCH-DL page. It never use to do this and if i press the restart button it automatically restarts and works. What could be the problem? I know i upgraded to two xeons buti do now have two hard disks running two different operating systems in dual boot i.e. xp pro and x64 bit. any ideas?

Disable the splash screen in your bios, set it to halt on all errors. This should bring up what the problem is. :)

it was set to halt on all errors and i disabled the splash screen it didn't come up with any errors however and seems to now be ok. Shall i leave it as halt on all errors or change it to something else? Also thanks for the reply can i put the splash screen back on?

Just leave it as it is,unless you really must have the splash screen. ;)
