My legs... Why can't I feel my legs???

Great game, didn't expect it to last quite so long though, knacked now!

Well played all, v well organised (although it started slowly - the openning knife fight was a bit messy but that wasn't the organisers fault  :D)

I think we should have the same tourney but change the attackers so that we get to fight both ways  :) but give me a few weeks to recover...

Well played to the opposing team. I'd like a rematch!  :)

just wanted to say well done to my squad.

Why did we lose? I think because we didnt' hold onto the first couple of bases for long enough, I've never seen first 2 bases fall so quickly in any game I've played before - well done. After that you just rolled us up and kept us penned in over the bridge, we also struggled to cope with the amount of armour coming our way.

Dunno what's going on with everyone - I'm STILL in tyhe game!

:(

Now I have nobody to play with!

Anyway - great game - typical Karkand.

Loosing the first two flags was no great deal - but loosing the Suburbs is a bitch!

It's literally and uphill struggle from there...

But the main thing was I had a good time.

Sorry I caught you - Liberator - with so many grenades. It was fate - I actully spent most of the game as Engineer or SpecOps - but it had to be you when I turned Assault didn't it! LOL

Anyway - I'M still in BF2 and am playing about on ranked servers...MAybe see some of you on later!

R.

Thats because I kept spawning back at the square to take you out (eventually :D).

I was having too much fun taking down snipers as a medic (I love my SA80, its the only unlock I have so far)! :D

Excellent game, both our squads responded rapidly to orders which meant we were able to recapture lost outposts before you could move on.

Your side always seemed to be where we didn't want you to be and you attacked from all sides at the suburbs. You did an excellent job of retaking the gatehouse as we were all in the area and got wiped out.

I was a bit of a 5th wheel as SL, my squad was armour so I was no use as a spawn point. But it did allow me to be a rogue medic running around healing everyone and it did allow me to sneak into capture zones, then call everyone forward once it was neutral. I like being in tanks and APC's but I will usually give the drivers seat to anyone who wants it (friendly that is). That said, I was still directing where to go and excellent comms from squad members asking where to go next.

Myself and BB did quite a bit of damage guarding the train wreck in the tank. I was the gunner and took out a load of you guys with the MG while helping spot vehicles.

Thanks to my squad, team and the enemy for making it an epic battle again. Extra special thanks to OB and BB for organising the chaos :worship:  , at least we are all now on X-fire.

Looking forward to second half next year.

How about a rematch on Monday afternoon...?

I'm sure plenty of people could make it as its an extra day off work.

Hopefully EA will have sorted their server probs out by then

how long did the match last in the end. I saw you played 600-660 tickets, must have been a marathon.

Did anybody take a screen shoot of the end scoreboard?

Game lasted about 1 and a half hours but we didn't swap sides coz that would have made it about 3 hours. I was knackered but twas good fun.

Final score was about 120 - 0 IIRC

Funny - it seemed longer!

Probably because it was so intense.

One of the problems I found playing with two squads was the inability of squads to talk to each other and so co-ordinate tactics (although - to be fair I would say that as I was on the loosing side! LOL)

I was on TG the other night and had a superb commander who co-ordinated the squads (mainly to stop squads going for the same objective).

...Have we had a thread discussing the possibility of a 'commander night'?

Anyway - this is my only niggle (and it ain't a biggy). It was a fantastic match - was nearly expecting Karkand 2 because of the big hints on the forum about downloading it.

:)

Thanks to the organizers.

Ranger.

It would be easy to set up teamspeak just for the SL's on tournies wouldn't it?

Yep, that's a good idea - we should try it out...

Maybe (and I admit now that I don't exactly know how TeamSpeak works) we could have channels JSUT for teh SLs and then other channels for the rest of the grunts.

One thing I do remember about the last time we tried TeamSpeak was the horrendous comms clutter and everyone tried to talk at teh same time. I couldn't make out who was the SL and what the orders were.

Maybe (and sorry if this sounds corny) if the used somes comms code when he spoke so you knew who to pay attension too?

Like: "SL - take the Hotel." (The prefix denoting this is a SL order).

In saying this I freely admit to being a culprit who attempts to give orders when I am NOT SL! (I like to think of it as advice - but I can see how it can confuse people, so sorry).

:)

Myself and Norm were all set to use TS, but then we were told we couldn't just B4 the game.

Our intensions were to have it as our SL channel only, so we could talk about you behind your backs. :D

So yes, we were going to use it, but we didn't!  :(

I think this is the best way of doing it, use BF2 comms for the squad and tS to allow SL to coodinate, that way it doesn't get too cluttered and shouldn't impact on slowing the game down for the rest of the squad.
