Title: Dragon Valley Farm - new 'first' US base?
Post by: Ranger on January 04, 2006, 11:30:55 AM
We've all played the USMC team on Dragon Valley and so know how hard it is to progress beyond that very first base on the island (The Farm I think it's called)...

As Chinese you know you have to load the farm - with it's twin spawn points - as quickly as possible, particularly with AT guys.

What makes this *seem* doubley unfair is that if you get your AT guys onto the hill top you can actually fire on the US vehicles the moment they drive out of the UCB gates!

-- I have been in a game where - by mutual consent - we have let teh US team have the first base, and teh Chinese have started in the Woodyard, and this seemed to work very well.

So should we make this the standard?

Are there ANY problems anyone can see doing this?

The first flag is important to stop the tickets counting down for the US. if we remove this, unless the Chinese can recapture this flag the map will last the full ticket count.

Also the USMC are given extra tickets to offset the losses of capturing the first flag.

If there are odd numbers of players on the map then the US should be given the extra player.
