Hi guys, this is for al you BF2ers that like to rank.
Yesterdaynight I found out there are 2 roads 2 rank.
Take a look here: http://www.secretsofbattlefield.com/rank.php (http://www.secretsofbattlefield.com/rank.php).
As you can see on that page there's a crossing after Gunnery Sergeant.
You become Master Sergeant or First Sergeant depending on the badges you have.
If you want the highest badge you have to require most of the basic badges: Basic knife Combat Badge, Basic Pistol Combat Badge, Basic Assault Combat Badge, Basic Anti-tank Combat Badge, Basic Sniper Combat Badge, Basic Spec Ops Combat Badge, Basic Support Combat Badge, Basic Engineer Combat Badge, and Basic Medic Combat Badge before 20000 points.
A really easy site to check which badges you are missing for the highest rank is this 1: http://bf2s.com/player/ (http://bf2s.com/player/). Just add your ranking name, press enter and look at the bottom of the page.
I checked this because I'm allready near this crossing and yesterdaynight I finally got my Silver knifebadge. Weird thing was, I still didn't have the Bronze medal which required 7 kills in 1 round (never really got to that because my TeamPlay instinct kept coming up) but last night I decided to finally get it. So when I knifed 7 people I got the Silver badge first because I allready had taken out 50 people with the knife (for the silver badge you need to get 7 knifekills in 1 round and 50 knifekills in total). 2 for the prize of 1 special that was!
I know that ranking isn't the best way to spread the TeamPlay-word but I managed to give several people who do like TeamPlay the links for -=[dMw]=- and[TG]. I allready saw several of them on the boards here and hopefully they'll be joining us on spreading the Word of Teamplay.
I think that by playing on Ranked servers you also get to know more tactics which might come in handy for your own use but maybe also for -=[dMw]=-.
Greetz -=[dMw]=-DuVeL
Hi Duvel,
as a fellow Ranked dabbler, I agree with you, I think you learn new stuff you probably wouldn't just playing on the dMw server. I usually go on the ranked server before I go on the dMw server to get warmed up. Whatever you play, you always learn more by playing against a large range of opponents.
Obviously I prefer the dMw play but its not always full and if I want to play SF I have to play ranked servers.
Maybe something like they do on [TG] would be nice sometime. Raid a publicserver with several -=[dMw]=-'ers. Atleast we'll have some good teammembers.
When I play on a rankedserver I normally start a Squad called Teamwork.
When you came upon the same server a few weeks back I really enjoyed the teamplay. Still sorry about the bossing around part as commander though (not really ) but we had a few good rounds then. Also when I joined your squad when there was a commander with a higher rank then mine the team really did well, at first I didn't even noticed we had teammembers, lol.
Nice find D. Thanks.

Yeah, I enjoyed those games too, I always look out for my dMw mates on xFire before going on a ranked server, I've hooked up with Armitage and Norm and yourself on more than one occaision. Even having just one other like minded squad mate, makes a huge difference to your enjoyment and what you can achieve on ranked servers.
