Title: SAK2 last night
Post by: delanvital on January 31, 2006, 11:57:34 AM
Thanks for the games.

I must say, Karkand2 is great fun! I ended up squadleading in a map I had never played before, but I just sort of tagged along and found places to hide... oh, and, uhm, sorry for the incidents with grenading in somewhat close combat - especially you Blunt -  Haven't played BF2 much lately and fell back into a bad habit

Best part: The duel me and Blunt had. We came running towards each other from a far.  I tossed a rather far grenade at him, and at the same time he shot an RPG at me. We both missed. Then we ran towards each other, swapped to rifles and started dueling around (and through) a shed, until we were up close and running around it. Then we both ran out of ammo in that clip and swapped to pistols (I think Blunt did that as well.. or maybe he reloaded). I then emptied most of a clip before getting a few lucky shots and took out Blunt, right before I ran out of life. Great fight!  8)

Edit: Ron: Sorry for not updating the directions.

didn't you hear me get my knife out?

good game....great map 8)

I can't seem to find any consistancy with the gren launcher...couldn't hit a barn door last night :(

Ron was on form last night...kept popping up in surprising places and killing us...stopping us getting up the ladder to the hotel roof (where they were spawning) was really useful for your side and tipped the balance imho

The problem is that when you shoot, the recoil lifts up the weapon (of course) and if you miss with the shot you are not sure where you had the rifle before the shot. Making note of the terrain around you as markers of the height lets you easily adjust. If that made sense. I can hit just about anything I can see... but sometimes I need up to all four shots to tune in the shoots, sort of artillery - but I do it. I love taking out jeeps from a far. The drivers always keep looking for me and never abandon the jeep. Did that a lot on Karkand 2 last night.

I really am a grunt. I said 'grunt'! Give me an order and i'll do my best to carry it out. I come from a long line of 'carry out the last order' types. It did cross my mind that it was a helluva responsibility to attack the Service station all on my own.
