Ok, i loaded it and no webpages would display. The buttons didn't work either . To be honest its lucky i did a system restore before i installed it so i could go back before it was installed tbh very disappointing. I will probably stay with ie6 even when it comes out, geez can they not to anything right! :(

GM, please note that this is beta 2 preview. It is not final code. The fact that it didn't work for you therefore doesn't surprise me.
It doesn't surprise me, most things don't work for GM :P
btw, what was the last version of firefox you tried? Consider trying it again as its at 1.5 now. Ive used it since 0.7 and I love it. :rumpy:
back on topic
Does it install over IE6? I'd give it ago if it runs along side IE6.
Over the top of.
Quote# If I installed IE7 Beta 1, can I just install the Beta 2 Preview on top of it?
No, the Beta 2 Preview will not let you install on top of Beta 1. If you are currently running the first Beta, it must be uninstalled first. Beta 1 can be removed by accessing Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Show Updates and finding it in the list there. Once you uninstall it, you can install the Beta 2 Preview.
# Can I run the preview and IE6 at the same time?
No, the preview is a system upgrade that replaces IE6 on your computer with the preview code.
As Chris Wilson pointed out, "'IE' is actually a collection of system components - networking, browser hosting, core HTML rendering, printing, etc. When we install a new version of IE, we're installing it for all applications that use these system components - including the tiny iexplore.exe itself." Because of this, we do not support the various hacks that allow side by side running of IE6 and the IE7 Beta 2 Preview. Running with these could cause issues with the stability of a system.
I don't think I'll bother...sounds too much of a faff, and I'm more than happy with FF 8)

Can't see what the fuss is about. It took a long while for me to become a FF fan, it'll take twice as long for IE to get me back!
Im devoted to FF now. IE was simply too late with essential features Firefox offered from the get go ;)
Also i dont find it healthy for MS to have their dirty paws into too much software at the same time ;) Stick with the OS and then work your way up when thats running good mkay ?! ;) hehe

IE sucks big time. Even this upgrade won't put in in the same ball park as FF.
