Title: Changed Clans but not goodbye...
Post by: Dewey on February 07, 2006, 11:22:07 AM
Hi Guys,

I wanted to let you know I've now started playing for the OBC clan with BIG-Ranger and BIG-Paddy.

dMw is a great community and I've made many friends here, but I found myself playing more and more on other servers to get regular BF2 games and I like to rank too. To do this I needed to move to a clan that was more focussed on BF2 and competitive play.

I joined OBC 4 weeks ago and they have invited me to play in a competitive ladder which I'm keen to do, therefore I felt I needed to let the dMw community know as a Charlie member.

Obviously I don't expect to remain a Charlie member, but I would still like to remain a member so I can continue to post on your forums, start playing GTL soon (honestly doorman!), visit the hook for some AAS fun occaisionally and maybe see you all at the LAN if I'm still allowed?

All the best.

Dewey

To bad to hear that but GL Dewey (and the rest offcourse).
You'll loose the Charlystatus but will remain Bravocompany (according to -=[dMw]=-rules and so from what I know).
LAN's are also for Alpha and Bravomembers so that's no problem at all (BIGgest difference is that Charlymembers get to know it first).

If the OBCclan has a server, let me know, I might drop by (although I still don't play as much as I should on our own server because of the ranking ).

GL and shoot you out there

Hi BlueBall, I didnt want it to sound like I was promoting another clan on these forums  :)  its difficult to talk about another clan without sounding like an advert, apologies if it comes across like this.

Ok, yes OBC (Old TANGO Clan) play matches of all descriptions
- weekly practices
- they play internal scrims between platoons (playing one in a few weeks)
- they have US vs Euro scrims (playing that in March)
- play in leagues and ladders which I was invited to play in only last night but haven't got any further details as yet

I'm sure they would welcome practice matches vs other clans and communities such as dMw. To arrange a match a dMw guy would need to drop a message on the OBC forum and of course I will ask.

However they play vanilla BF2 like you play on a public server ie no AAS.

Like dMw they are multi-gaming community and play CSS and COD2, sure they'd give you a match there too.

Well I thought technically I'd still be part of the community and therefore that law doesn't come into play?  :D

Nice try...
You still have to, otherwise there was something including Benny, a gimpsuit and some other stuff (not sure what it is because I'm here to stay).

I noticed that too, the hooks been very quite recently, I've checked for the last 2 weeks on Sunday and Monday nights and last night at 8ish it was empty.

Unfortunately I can't play on Mondays as its OBC practice night but I'm sure I'll venture on the hook when theres a game going.
