what mods do I need on the current version....
I only had some all in one back pack thing and a world map thing before.
so....links to working good stuff would be appreciated. Baring/ bearing (drunk) in mind I'm a hunter.
I use cosmos (http://www.cosmosui.org/)
seems to do what i need and a lot more.
There are actually very few bits of Cosmos that you actually 'need'. I turn off 98% of Cosmos and the remaining 2% I use prurely because that's what I started with and therefore I'm used to and still think I need. You also have to be very careful with Cosmos - if you run the autoupdater it will WIPE every non-Cosmos mod you have installed. I think I only use ONE of the Cosmos elements and tbh Cosmos is still there only because I am too lazy to figure out whic one it is and then install that as a single mod and delete Cosmos.
THE single best mod you will need as you start doing instances later is CTmod. If you are not running it, you will be left out.
Gatherer is good for tracking resource locations.
Auctioneer is helpful for tracking prices (but I also check Median on Allakhazam).
Those are the ones I use all the time.

they have it by section and by class by attack and by defense the whole show
nearly all the stuff here is latest patch friendly (although give em a coupla days after the biggie patches)
for priests/casters there are some real handy progs i got 1 that automatically casts my inner fire which is a must have for a priest and because it only lasts 3 mins its real easy to forget to recast you can even set parameters so if you're short on mana it wont fire etc
bear in mind i only use stuff that can be installed and used straight away i'm not a patient person and if it doesnt work out the box i dump it. so far no probs with anything ive used (crosses fingers).
some of the hunter add-ons rock as well
theres a nice little 1 that moves all aspect and tracking skills up to the edge of the mini-map thus meaning you dont clutter up your action bars with stuff you dont use very often.
they also have all the links for the needed progs like CTraid assist and cosmos.

Auctioneer is wonderful........checks EVERYTHING and gives you pointers at the real steals...
Bought a Black Diamond from AH for ( and i couldn't believe it ) 2S8C ( it had been placed on with no buyout - always always always put a buyout unless the item is so good it definitely will go - and the owner set a silly low price and even more amazingly nobody else saw it )
Anyway...sold it on AH 40 mins later....for 25G50S
I'm not going to bother working out the percentage gain there....but i'm happy :D
Installed it, typed /auctioneer scan. nothing happened....help?
Auctioneer oftne only loads when you open up AH (right click on the auction person). You know it's loaded as the auction window has a SCAN button on it at the same level as the bid button.
If /auctionner scan does not work then I am assuming you are not at auction house?
Try typing /auctioneer load
See what response you get in console - you should see it ocnfirmed as loaded and the version.
If not, reinstal and restart WoW.

Is there some problem with Auctioneer and the 1.9.3 or greater patch? I've been trying to get it working for the last week or so, to no avail. I've tried the exe installer file for it, or just the zip and extracting the folders within to the same directory as I have the Gatherer mod in (Which works. WoW/Interface/Addos IIRC?). It doesn't appear when talking to an auctioneer in the auction house, and typing /auctioneer
just gives me a message saying something like 'Type /help for a list of commands', so I assume it's not finding the mod at all. This is after multiple restarts of both WoW and the PC.
got mine working last night, had to download lootlink and also check the box that says 'load out of date mods' at the bottom of the addons page. :blush:

Aah. I got the full package for Auctioneer, so it should already include lootlink, but I knew not about the 'OUt of date addons' tickbox. Will give that a go tonight. Ta Benny :)
I had problems getting it to work last night.
I ended up installing the Beta auctioneerpack-3.2.0.0671.exe
and now it works fine apart from there were no Black Diamonds for 2S8C :P
i use auctioneer, ctra, pearl (party ui) and a dps meter that only shows my own dmg :P
I use Discord action Bars aka DAB, Ctmods(all of them exept bagmods) Auctioneer,Gatherer, Necrosis & Dmg meters+ hitsmode
Im using Necrosis (lock addon), CTmod (all of them), MiniGroupe, EnchantingDB, Enchantrix, ItemSync (I think its the same as lootlink, thinking of trying ll in stead), Loothog (must for ML), TitanPanel, RaidSummon and last but not least Atlas. Oh, and nurfed hud for a kewl look :)
A great all round add-on, and the on e i like best is Insomniax. It has everything - CTmod,Auctioneer,Gatherer,DMG meters etc and doesnt seem to effect performance at all which some all in one mod packages seem too.

Auctioneer seemed great but in the end i had to turn it off as everytime i opened the AH and scanned it just randomly started bidding on about 30 stacks of runecloth. :(
