Dead Men Walking

Tonight I joined MH at about 8.10pm and cs_militia was on.  We were having REAL BAD lag spikes, loss and choke.  We ended up having a gentle banter about the joys of high pings (team average ping was about 400ms at the time).

Grim Reaper said he was on 56k modem.

Grim's partner on CT at the time said he was on 33K.  I do not know his name.

Whoever you were, a 33K modem is a crime.  On behalf of MeatHook PCS I hereby donate to you and will pay the postage for my old 56K US Robotics modem to be delivered to you, free, gratis and for nothing.  

Damn it man, nobody should have to play this great game on a 33k modem.....we won't allow it.

So if you were that person, or know who they are, then get them to PM me with your screen name (it was an unusual name so I'll know it when I see it again) and I'll post the modem to you immediately.  A man should not have to suffer 33k indignity for that length of time.

Right, while you're at it and I'm drunk, I've got an 8 port hub going begging. needs a 12vdc psu, pretty standard, can prolly find one if you want one, and not being as generous as TL, you can pay the postage and come and get it, but free to anyone who wants it. A4 scanner up for grabs to, £10 + p&p. oh, and a 56k modem, free + p&p

Such generosity is truly heart warming. Sadly I don't have any PC bits to give away, so I've had a word and that bloke with the 33kb modem can take my sister out for a drink if he likes :)

yeah something is up with the connection to our servers (both cs and webserver). I have been trying to do some minor updates to the homepages but I get 0.41 kB/s at most!!!  8O

I do hope that it will be fixed. Whatever the problem is ...

It is my internet provider that has problem with the upstream. Downstream is working properly.
