this is getting silly.

the decals thingymobob didnt work. I still see no bulletholes, blood or anything else that makes it great to play....... nuts.

Rename your cstrike folder as cstrikeold

Re-install CS using the MOD full install.

If it's still borked then re-install HL, add HL patch (full) and CS (full).

Sorted.

awww, that sounds like an awful lot of effort?

Any other ideas that involve less effort? :)
