How about, for every raid there are a fixed number of spots where Defenders have priority (maybe 1 pr. class is a bit too much, so say around 5 perhaps?). If you also add, that you as a Defender can't use your right for one of those 5 (?) spots more than once a week, you both ensure that all the defenders gets a fair chance for a spot once a week, and you also make a clear separation between the Defender and the Guardian rank.
The reasons why I think this would be a bad idea:
You take away spots that Guardians has earned by being dedicated to the raids and the Guild.
It might be a system that takes some extra effort to manage.

There are also many Defenders (more than there are room for in the Guardian spots) that also are very dedicated to the guild, and this way they would also get a small "token of gratitude" for their efforts.
There might be people that out of RL reasons just can't manage to fill the requirements of the Guardian ranks (as of now I'm myself barely able to manage 2 raids a week), and I think it would be a good think if we manage to give those the opportunity to raid some as well.
For now, I only hope for a second opinion on this. It would also be nice if you could present it to the other officers.

We need to calll a conference on this - I propose 19.00 tonight on TS in the Officer channel, or maybe even a bit before this. Let's talk it through and make some decisions.
Personally, I think it is a good opportunity - we would need to talk to the GM in person I think, but it could be done. Like it or not, we have an RG2 coming it seems, the members want it, it fills a need and it is going to happen either with or without our support, so we may as well deal with it and shape it as we prefer.

Wil we be seperating guild into two groups ,or have two groups 1 filling upp with Guardians and then putting the rest into the other group?

'what I am asking is : Wil they be RG2 or a addongroup? Where wil they get their members from? And wil they pull resources out of RG1?

Yeh lets not get ahead of the world and mind our words abit, allthough the likely hood of sucsess is fairly high at this time i would hate to see it bounce on something as stupid as members talking between another. Btw Technicly our members dont know we plan to invite a whole guild in neither.
I don't think we're talking about their whole guild, with the exception on one who is just below L60 we are talking about taking a number of their trustworthy and decent L60 players who want to raid.

*NOTE* Alhana is one of the better players in NG, but is having problems with playing his Rogue. His fingers can't cope with the pain involving playing rogue. I think he has some kind of condition with his fingers. So he would like to join his alt 'Angus' (lvl 54 pala) as a soldier, and then when he's lvl 60 switch him with 'Alhana' if possible. Angus should be like 58-60 when we are ready to join you. So if we could bare this in mind?

SUMMARY:
The only very obvious shortage is Druids and we can recruit specifically to fill that need.

Remember, each raid will have two Officers *and* will be able to take any Guardians who were unable to get into RG1 that night, so this should bump up the numbers considerably. All in all, bar the druid situation I think it looks pretty solid - what do you folks think?

Alhana is sorry, but he will only be able to join as a soldier. You are more than entitled to an explanation. I was informed last night by Alhana.
Alhana and Odesa has a child together so after talking it over, they came to the conclusion that only one can play in bigger raids. It wouldn't be fair to RG2 if one suddently has to go "afk 10 min" - they themself hate it when it happens. So they will only play Odesa (Dwarf priest) in RG2.
I hope this is ok with you, better to solve it now than in the middel of an MC raid.
Regarding the 16th march, a few people will have a hard time to come online then, but I guess we can invite them during the evening/night. (I'll tell you when they come online and so forth, help keep track on 'em)

I had a chat with Zyriax last night. He seems a reasonable, if a little silly chap. For some reason he got annoyed at not doing MC/AQ/ZG or anything else (why is not understandalbe) and being an Initiate 'for ever'. I reminded him that RG2 started in 6 days and that he was a bit daft. He thought about it overnight and sent a contrite PM this morning basically saying yes we were right and could he please come back. I have said yes I would reinvite him when online tonight - that solves a Mage recruitment problem. Prat :rolleyes:
