Welcome to BF2

Here is some info you might find handy...if I haven't covered it or I've made a boob, please post.

dMw runs two BF2 servers

IP 87.240.138.22:16567  AAS Mod  (http://landot.org:8080/landot/aas/)
IP 87.240.138.22:16568  PRMM (http://www.realitymod.com/) & AAS Mod

AAS stands for Advance and secure, which means that each side has to capture/defend flags in a pre-determined order (http://forum.deadmen.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=10399) (The on-screen text tells you where to go next). This Mod does not require you to download any files. AAS ensures that, even on a sparsly populated server, both sides are fighting for the same ground.

PRMM stands for Project Reality Mini Mod. Designed to bring more realism to the game with such changes as: No enemy red tags & kill indicator removed, no crosshairs until weapon is shouldered/scoped, choice of shell in tanks, better ballistics etc. This Mod requires you to download files from HERE (http://totalbf2.filecloud.com/files/file.php?user_file_id=119525) or this Torrent Link (http://www.gloryhoundz.com/bt/prmm_0254_setup.exe.torrent) more info HERE (http://realitymod.com/index.php?page=about)

PATCHES:
BF2 needs to be patched to 1.2
BF2 Patches (http://battlefield2.filefront.com/files/Battlefield_2/Patches/Client_Files;7537)
TORRENT LINK (http://www.torrentspy.com/torrent/536675/BF2_1_2_Patch_100Mbit_seeder)
PRMM Map pack(new) (http://www.realitymod.com/)
BF2 Special Forces:
We are not currently running SF although several members have it and it is always available by special request(afaik)

TWEAKS: (http://www.tweakguides.com/BF2_1.html)

TROUBLESHOOTING (http://forum.deadmen.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=11275) (cheers Duvel)

X-Fire (http://www.xfire.com/) is handy but not essential for finding friends and servers, and also has a useful chat facility. If you get it then add your name to THIS LIST (http://forum.deadmen.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=10781&hl=x-fire)

Hope you find this helpful & if there's anything else you need to know, don't be shy  :D

Good job Blunt, I have no idea how you got the idea though  ;)  8).
BTW, I've edited a bit in the Troubleshootingpart.

Maybe you can put this behind SF and PRMM: After installing SF or PRMM, remember to reinstall the latest patch!

I've edited my troubleshootingtext again.
Good idea though, it would be something I could have thought of aswell, oh yeah, I did aswell  ;).

Maybe an extra thing to add, I believe there are some Nostromo N52 settings aswell from various people. Maybe adding a link about them would be handy.

Blunt, I couldn't find them but I believe Ranger posted one. Ahwell...

Ragnar, correct, Monday nights are usually one of the most populated nights on our servers. 20.00 UK-Time there's a few people on.

BB or another forumadmin. Can you delete the other post plz? I think Blunt wants to have this thread kept clean.

No suggestions from my side as I'm still busy getting my Shuttle-LAN-ready. I'll have a look in to things when that's allright.
