I sincerly hope this appeals to the masses and stops the trickle flow of good players leaving. Well done to all the involved with the planning I think this is the right choice.
Yep well if you know ppl that play the classes we need have them apply as soon as possible. Now is a good change to push forth real life friends / in game friends that want to raid a bit

We are pleased to announce that the NG group will be joining SoG on Thursday. Please give them a warm welcome and try to get them involved with our guild AQ20/ZG/PVP raids as soon as possible, they have some good players and we are sure they will be a valuable addition to SoG and RG2.
We are now recruiting to fill the remaining slots and with a bit of luck hope to be able to start RG2 on Thursday next week.

Think its a part of the guild that is joining, i talked a bit with some of them before the RG2 talk started as they we in interest in joining a large guild so get further in this game, so i directed them too teaelle.. Most of the people joining are from denmark so now SoG will be flooded with crazy danes :P
So how do you sign up for RG2? As defender I would like to join as an Guardian....plz let me know how to or maybe I'm just to early asking?

As i have understood it, the defenders act like the guardians do in RG1. Gets a priority. Soliders are not eligabe to raid (?), but you are not however asked to join 2/3 raids as a defender. First come, first serve, as it should be :)
Great work from the officers on this matter, and lets welcome NG warmly... That means that Neff shouldn't scare them with his bot!

Well I am very interested in this RG2 group... hence my application ;) But being new to the guild, I know I will have to earn the respect first.
Still trying to grasp the Defenders/Guardians concept, but I guess that will be clear to me sometime in the very near future... I hope...

Teaelle - now that RG2 is finaly starting, while a list of adjusted rules be posted on the forums somewhere? (Especially regarding DKP!)
And a question: for those with DKP currently, is it carried over into RG2, or does everyone begin at zero?
As the two groups will be using the same DKP system, the DKP will not be changed or reset. Giving the members of either group the chance to get items in either raid, that being MC, OL or BWL.

EZ explanation : Guardian garantees you a raid spot, but you need to attend 2/3 raids.
Defender: YOu have the opurtinity to raid.
Neff Its no garantee that u can join as a guardian, as it is today! :(
Wold be great if both groups could clear MC fast :D
Hoping to see fast progress with the second group , as many of that group allready have good gear and exsperience.
Wil be fun tho see how far we get on the first day with two raids .

Well, we're very close to that now, we just need a couple more people (and we have some applicants already) and we'll meet the numbers we need.
Initially we may underestimate the turn out that people will give to RG2, but then MC does not need a totaly full raid at the start. As we assess how many people turn up then we'll reassess numbers. what we don't want to do it invite loads of people so that on day 1 we have 20 people left out of the raid.
RG1 works pretty well on 48 people and with the advent of RG2 this will be 46 people as 2 Officers will be running RG2. Defenders have a much lower attendance record, but we've set up RG2 initially with a target of 40 Defenders, 2 Officers from RG1 and a maximum of 6 Guardians overflowing from RG1.
This allows RG2 a pool of 48 people to choose from for raids. The attendance record of Defenders will dictate wether or not in the future we need to reconsider these numbers to reduce or increase the numbers involved.
My 2 cents is that there is enough interest at the moment to do RG2 well. I also anticipate that RG2 will make pretty darned fast progress through the instance due to the experience of the raiders in RG2.

Zyriax, soldier isnt the solution imo, because you can have it and not raid, but if you get the oportunity to raid you'l still be able too :D
