We're creating a ton of cool features that you won't have seen in any BF before, including cloaking devices, mines that follow you, awesome new rifles, guns and grenades, and of course, MECHS! We're developing this here in DICE Stockholm while the DICE Canada studio will be hard at work on a 1.3 update for Battlefield 2, as well as the Armoured Fury Booster Pack.

There'll be an "official" press release later on this week but we know that you guys need to know first. Stay tuned and we'll keep you posted on how 2142 is coming along.

Am I the only one excited? I've been looking forward to this since the rumours started, and after seeing that teaser I started goddamn dreaming about it last night (still got my tango kicked though, just like when I play BF2...)

edit: also, Benny is a loser. C'mon, it's Mechwarrior with proper multiplayer!  :cool:

I agree it looks quite fun but I dilike the DICE/EA practice of firing out mediocre addon/conversions which you end up forking out another £20 for. At least with bf1942 they were spaced out! With BF2 you hardly have time to read up on the last one before the next one is out! ...or maybe it's just that I'm getting old :ph34r:
