I've noticed lately that Bastet has edited a few posts with pictures to just show a link to the picture - I think this is good work mate
Posts tend to get very messy if they get filled with (big) pictures taking all your screen area, and you can with no problem make it much smoother by taking some easy steps - so I'm gonna give you a small tip:
There is a nice thing called (http://imageshack.us/img/iss3.png) (http://imageshack.us)
On this page you can either upload a file from your own computer, or let them host an image from any valid URL. This is very easy, and all is done from the main page.
When you have chosen what image to host and submitted it, you will get various template links presented to you:
1 for thumbnail on a website, and 2 alternatives for thumbnails on forums (it's the 1st alternative for forum thumbs that work on this forum). The result is as you can see here, very smooth and nice:
(http://img464.imageshack.us/img464/5365/dilbertdemons800x6009bf.th.jpg) (http://img464.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dilbertdemons800x6009bf.jpg)
They also provide other different kinds of links for your image, but I haven't checked them all out yet.
So please people, remember this. It makes the forums nicer and easier to read, and you don't create unnecessary work for the moderators :)
Thanks to ImageShack for Free Image Hosting (http://imageshack.us) 8)
EDIT - forgot to mention one thing:
You can also register on ImageShack - this it totally free, and as fare as I've been able to see, there are no "hidden draw-backs" with doing so either. This make you able to easy browse all the images you have ever uploaded, and you can also choose to delete an image if you don't want it to be hosted any more (and there are other benefits as well :))
Well done bob, that deserves a pin :)
Oh oh, my first pin :dribble: I'm just so l33t 8)
You're now officially my god Bastet :worship:
Grats Bob, on getting [Legendary Pinned Topic], join my club :D

My screenshots are saved as tga format. How do I change it to something that Imageshack can work with?

I use IrfanView (http://www.irfanview.com/) to convert all my wow screenshots. You can both process single pictures one at a time, or you can do batch jobs with a big selection of pictures.
And if you wondered: it is
FREE :D
If you use Photoshop you can also use that. And quickly edit / Crop them too :)

How do you convert screenshots to viewable jpegs or similar?
Irfan view is one of the (free) tools that can do it.
You can download it here, including all the plugins: http://www.irfanview.com/
Just open de screenshot and save it to JPG, easy :) .

When I first read the question, I seemed to recall that it had been answered earlier somewhere, and I actually found that it had been asked and answered in this very same thread.
But that's not the best part - just look at who asked the question last time as well:
