The server uses TLS encryption, so you will need a FTP-client that supports it
I have fixed the disk on the server making the somewhat low diskspace a little higher. Its now 2GB available disk space. I am gonna move stuff to other disks making more room for the stuff you want to put up there. If you want, i can also host a webpage on the server.
The link is a wireless link going around 30-60Mbit atm, so dont expect the best speed :P
I have uploaded WoW-1.10.0-enGB-patch.exe on it, and everybody is welcome to upload anything to it :) (Altho not
anything...)
If you experience a problem, let me know, and ill try to fix it.
And remember, its a service i offer to the guild.. Not your friends :P Please dont abuse it ;)

You meant a FW server, for Luthor, I'm sure ;)
TL.
The what? It doesnt say so
(not anymore :D)
Its really simple :)
Im happy to supply config files if you want it.
The server is a PIII 633MHz running Gentoo Linux 2.6.15-gentoo-r1 kernel (Which is a Bit*** to set up) but if you got a box with linux, the simplest FTPd ive configured to date is ProFTPd (http://www.proftpd.org) its a piece of cake ;)
Cant you just supply something that i just have to click the exe file and bam, its g2g?

Neff, you lacy f*** :P
try this (http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/filezilla/FileZilla_Server-0_9_14a.exe?download) one.
Never tried it befor, but its probably not hard :)
I've used File Zilla before, never set one up on it, but could access servers very easily from it, shouldnt be too hard to make one either.
Tried it abit now, and it actually IS easy to set up. You just add users and groups, and then add folders to the users/groups. it has the ability to use SSL/TLS if you have a certificat too.
Just installed Filezilla, what ip should i put? just one i like?
FTP server..thats nice. Might be a good place tp upload some screenshots ;)
Upload anything :) I can make it available through http too if you want.
Neff:
Just leave 127.0.0.1 in there as you open the config-util on your own computer. Enter a password too ;)

hmmm I cant connect to it.
Is it not the standard port 21 ?
Or maybe the server just where down as I tryed.

Its on port 21, but it requires a encrypted connection, TLS/SSL to be precise.
I'll PM you some aditional helping stuff ;)
But it looks like its down atm. I did an upgrade to it a few days ago, might have to downgrade to more stable software later. Ill set it up tomorrow :)
