If you remember what Umbra said about using Thunderfury on his trash mobs and now look at the vid you can see it makes it very easy.. (well looks it anyway ;) )
Interesting, this Horde group appear to split the raid into the two groups we tried initially, but I have to say the one group idea seeemed to work better for us.

I still think we should go with the 1 group idea, that definately seemed like an idea we could master more easily
Not sure happened to the two group idea, I know left side was doing pretty ok until we got the adds from the right side then we were overrun. Was there a major problem on the right?
I also noticed in the above video that only mages seem to be AOEing and locks are spamming SBolts...
he dosn't look like neff @ all..... :dummy:
The two groups need to be good balanced there should be enough of everyhting in both groups. As for the undeath that comes (42 ressurected mobs) while clubbing Nefarian....palladins can aoe them as well with there wholy wrath...I only don't know if they would run out of mana for healing and decursing. ...but Rg1 will succeed as they surprised me with the kill on Chromaggus yesterday which is a big achiefment!
I know I ran out of mana damn fast when we were in two groups and was really struggling. Even with a big mana pool popping off 1,200 mana per Blizzard cast really sucked the mana out of me quickly. Some of my perceived benefit to the single group are that I see aggro shared, I see AOE all the time (so I know damage is being done and feel better about progress) and that the grouping seems better, so each AOE cast counts for more damage as we are not trying to spread out the damage too widely. In the two group idea we really struggled to keep the mobs in a tight pack (even on the left side) and that made mana run out even faster as you had to recast to hit mobs who had moved and waste the 1,200 mana.

If you see Nightmares Asylum vid of it( beatiful vid) , they split up 2 balanced groups , stand outside each "entrance" where the monsters come from and Take the groups down, cant remember seeing much AoE there either.
Either way works, but as we don't allways have a 100% balanced raid I think it will be easier to do them all as one group.
It also makes it easier on the healers when you don't have to consider who is in range or not.
The guild "Nightmares Asylum" destroy Nefarian, the last boss of Black Wing Lair. Extremely long battle.
Here the link of video: Nefarian Video (http://www.filenuts.com/download.php?det=284)
They complete combat on one side with complete raid and its more easy to handle Doomguards or other classes which gets nefarian control. Spliting on sides will be handy in order to handle that chaos or panic but controlled units(doomguards and other classes) will be much more harder with splited sides.
when nefarian close to die he summons mobs which is also more easy to beat them on one side.
Hope this link gives a point :eyebrow: (FOR THE HORDE!)
That Vid convinced me in going for End bosses ......when I saw that movies I was like...I gotta b@ Nefarian someday and so I started to become lvl 60 first......and now here I am @ Major Domo....
Very good vid, there is also an edited version with opera music...the vid link above is with Disturbed..... Also watch the healing on the MT.....good quality movie and music..... look close and you see the palla doing Holy Wrath on the resurrected adds....
BTW NA stopped as guild and tranfered themselfs to an other server (not Aszune) and the guy that makes the movies quit NA cause he was raiding every day till 08:00 am in the morning (US Servers time)....now he joined an european server and can do normal raiding times...

like you said, HORDE group, lets not relly on shammy skills but lets focus on pallies lol
just want to get this clear b4 people start shouting at me for not putting up totems during nef fight :P
The mana issue wont be solved by keep trying i think, i think we need to make 2 Groups virtually, let me explain.
the tanks work as 1 group, tanking the adds at the foot of the stairs (like or last attempt 18/04/06) but the DPS (Mages, Locks, Hunters and Rogues) could be split up in 2 independent group working with 2 MA's, 1 for DPS group 1, 1 for DPS group 2.
That would bring each mob down extremely fast, and would rely on a fast focussed MA, and most important Mana conserved, the reason for 2 DPS groups is to avoid some of the wasted Casttime and Mana, by having only 1 target that is going down very fast.
The healer group and Tank group should just work like last time, i think that worked out well, so i see no need to change.
