And where would you like it inserting?  8O
Keep comparing this to Tundra which was a great escape map with real PCS potential. Hunted is not as good, and the one way waterfall is stupid. Don't like it :(
Played this from both sides and was great fun, but we only had small teams each time. I think the max was 4 a side. With these numbers this map works really well. The only drawback that I can see with it is that there are only 2 ways into the house for the cts and both are easily covered by the ts, with larger numbers playing these could easily become bottlenecks with the cts unable to get past these points. Other than that another good map.
Which one is this? If it's the VIP jobbie, nah! If it's the hossie jobbie, hard to say yet. Needs time to mature, although it's an interesting little map with potential. One to lay down perhaps.
 Let me help you here fella....
as_ maps are VIP ASsination maps
cs_ maps are hostage as in Club Seals...ermmm
Those choke points are a fair point. The mincer on dust is always fun to play but there are other routes through on that map that make it more varied. I agree that this one might suffer from a lack of tactical variation, with just the two routes through. Time will tell.

The other dust route being the tunnel. That makes 2 routes. :?
I think you'll find that the ability for the Ts to defend the gong route are hampered by the CTs ability to attack them from the other route (i.e. side/behind). The trick on this map is to cover both routes and then the Ts start to back off. I have played this one a fair amount in the past and I would rate it as a good map for up to 8 v 8, so it should be OK.

I meant that there is more variety with the two routes on dust than the two on rising_sun.
On dust it's through the mincer and fast left to site B
Through the mincer right and left through the doors to B
Through the mincer and right to the balcony
Through the mincer and right then straight to CT spawn
etc etc.
The timing here was crucial as T's and CT's would meet either in the mincer or the bomb site B. lots of variation on a small map.
On rising_sun the CT's can get to the choke points long before the T's and be ready for them when they arrive.
It's still early days though
Two routes for the CT's to go, can easily be stopped. even if they draw into the house there are still only 2 routes to the escape..not the best IMHO.
I liked this one, only played for a bit though. Kept expecting Samurai Jack to burst out of a wall
What Bunny says is true however if the CT's really duke it out and charge en masse, there's a good chance that the VIP can make it out.
Playing earlier it tended to be roughly even asto who would win.
thumbs up from me.

Lmao
The VIP map? I was playing it last night. It really needs teamwork and while being the only dMw on the team but not having the energy to organise peeps it turned into a shambles.... so many times teammates who just seemed to want to hang back while the clock ticks down and rake up kills blocked routes while the enemy threw in grenades.
After asking peeps to stop doing this I was seen to of deleivered a shot or two to the back of the skull.....
My thoughts? its a good map if played right which will prob rarley happen.
Yeah played it again early last night and if the T's control the two routes (arguably one route as they are so close) it's a tough map for the CT's to win.
I begin to fear that the VIP rescue concept is just fundamentaly flawed....although Tundra played very well.

Sorry fellas but I have a general dislike for VIP type maps
So i,m putting the boot into this one along with the other VIP map
As i,m still to be persueded otherwise.

After seeing the highlights on tv (Birmingham v Villa) I thought you'd have at least delivered them to the front of the skull?!! 8O

Oh bugger! I can't be arsed to type that lot out again.
It was a great piece though.
:(

Try again!
It's funny you should mention this. I read about the 'Glasgow kiss' incident and didn't give too much thought to it except to think, 'thug, calls himself a sportsman!', until I read his 'apology'.
He said, and I quote, "It was a totally wrong reaction," " I'm ashamed of what I've done. I've let the players, the manager and the staff down---and
most importantly, I've let
myself down".
Seems to me to be a bloke who's got his priorities right. :(
Football. Team game, right?
Sorry, I got carried away and went off the subject. Wont happen again. tongue
This map didn't work when it was in rotation on N42 and I think it will not work here either. There are two choke points to cover for the Ts and they are easily coverd.
Played it tonight 9 CT vs 6 T and it was a slaughter. IT will turn inot a rush fest to either get past the choke point or to hold it. Constant rushing isn't PCS imho.
Not too bad but I'm not too keen on as maps.
Played fairly well bit bias towards T in that CT only really have two routes which both seemed to get covered very quickly. Only played as CT so I don't know where T spawn. Seemed to be but even with good leadership we didn't do very well as CT... on a plus not it looks good :D
^^^ That was me btw
Agree with Sadako
An absolutely rubbish map - you only need a couple of Ts at each choke to decimate a significantly larger force of CTs.
The only VIP map of note was tundra, and that got voted off
Nice try, but I ain't voting for it
bring back tundra!!!
I think this map is pretty good fun - if you split the CT forces you can do okay, although on the whole I dont like most as_ maps. Tundra is cool tho :)
The couple of times I have played this map with smaller numbers of people ie 4 a side it has worked really well and been a great map to play, but the problems previously discussed start to emerge if you increase the numbers.
the CT only really have a chance once they make it out into the house area, either through the tiny gap in the cliff face or through the gong area. If they can get out and into the house then escape tends to be a LOT more likely.
I've played a good game with large teams, however the CT only need a few dopes to ruin the game..... such as:
peeps who value their lives over rushing through a choke point amidst their teammates.
peeps who seem to just want kills, even when VIP !!!!
